ROLE SUMMARY:

  • You'll be the vital link ensuring our data practices are rock-solid, championing compliance with existing frameworks like DORA, proactively preparing for future regulations (think EU AI Act and new data privacy regimes!), and laying the groundwork for innovative product development.
  • Partner with data governance experts, product innovators, legal minds, and key stakeholders to implement cutting-edge tooling and robust control processes that keep us ahead of the curve in a dynamic regulatory environment.
  • Become a master of demand management and a strategic foresight champion, prioritizing initiatives that align with our ambitious organizational goals and the evolving global regulatory landscape, including critical areas like AI governance and data sovereignty.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Become a Data Guardian: Collaborate with the Data Governance execution team to bring resiliency metadata processes to life, safeguarding our internal and external client data through robust controls.
  • Drive Innovation: Partner with product owners to explore and implement state-of-the-art tooling and technology, revolutionizing how we communicate resiliency and outperform the competition while ensuring regulatory adherence.
  • Orchestrate Success: Take charge of demand requests, ensuring every initiative is clear, complete, and perfectly aligned with our strategic vision, business objectives, and regulatory obligations.
  • Navigate the Regulatory Horizon: Actively engage in "horizon scanning" by collaborating with Legal and Government Affairs teams to identify, analyse, and strategize for upcoming global regulations, such as the EU AI Act and evolving data privacy and sovereignty regimes, ensuring we are always prepared and can influence positive outcomes.
  • Champion Comprehensive Compliance: Work closely with Legal and Compliance to understand, interpret, and implement controls for existing and emerging global data regulations that may impact the division, identifying compliance gaps, agreeing on remediation plans, and documenting risk acceptance.
  • Master Project Oversight: Maintain a comprehensive view of ongoing projects, tracking progress, milestones, and dependencies using tools like Jira to ensure flawless execution of data governance and resiliency initiatives.
  • Elevate Tool Utilization: Leverage powerful platforms like Solidatus to map, document, and visualize data flows, lineage, and critical activities, supporting both operational efficiency and regulatory reporting.
  • Foster Powerful Connections: Build strong relationships with the Data Governance execution team, data owners, and stewards to ensure seamless communication and collaboration on data governance processes and control frameworks.
  • Be the Business-Technical-Legal Bridge: Act as a key liaison between business, technical, and legal teams, ensuring everyone shares a common understanding of project objectives, requirements, and regulatory implications.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Strategic Thinker & Proactive Problem Solver: Proven ability to prioritize demands based on strategic objectives, regulatory needs, and business impact, with a forward-looking approach.
  • Future-Focused & Adaptable: A proactive mindset with experience in or a strong aptitude for regulatory horizon scanning, understanding the implications of new legal frameworks (like AI governance or data sovereignty), and developing adaptive strategies and controls.
  • Tech-Savvy Innovator: Experience with or aptitude for learning and leveraging new tooling and technology to drive efficiency, enhance controls, and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Collaboration Champion: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and work effectively across diverse teams, including legal and compliance.
  • Master Analyst: Sharp skills in requirement gathering, analysis, process modelling, control definition, and data reporting.
  • Stakeholder Whisperer: Proven ability in stakeholder management, ensuring alignment and buy-in across business, technical, and regulatory functions.
  • Documentation Dynamo: Expertise in solution design and documentation, clearly articulating processes and control points.
  • Project Pro: Strong project coordination skills with a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and embedding robust controls.
