Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Agile scrum teams to design, implement, and test the software that controls our cutting-edge DNA sequencing and genotyping instruments.
- Develop software architecture, designs, and implementations that drive innovation.
- Engage in all stages of the Agile development process, including sprint planning, daily scrums, and sprint demos.
- Create and run unit tests to validate functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects promptly.
- Contribute to software design and code reviews, ensuring the highest quality.
While these responsibilities are essential, additional tasks may be assigned as needed based on business requirements.
Required Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, with a preference for C#.
- Strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining asynchronous .NET applications.
- Proficient in building services based on REST.
- Experience with front-end technologies and/or front-end frameworks, such as Angular and React.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that meets product requirements.
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-driven with excellent communication abilities.
- Demonstrated willingness to teach others and learn new technologies.
- Capability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Passionate about technology and innovation.
- Extensive experience in writing high-quality unit tests using mock objects.
- Proficient in source control systems like GIT and SVN.
- Experience with CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in cross-functional or inter-company collaboration.
- Experience in developing software for instruments and hardware integration is a plus.
- Knowledge of biotech and bioinformatics is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Linux distributions, such as Oracle Linux and Ubuntu, is a plus.
- Experience in image processing is a plus.
