Senior System ASIC Infrastructure and Methodology Design Engineer

NVIDIA SOC System-ASIC team is looking for a CAD/Infrastructure Engineer who is passionate about optimizing design/verification/architecture processes and developing new automated, intelligent tools to standardize team workflows and improve work efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate for this position should have web development experience, strong programming skills, and communication abilities. Candidates with AI RAG/Fine-tuning application background or basic ASIC knowledge will be given priority consideration.

SOC System-ASIC team focuses on developing some System/Top-level related control and measurement units and features, like: Fuse/Strap, Floorsweep, Reset, ISM and Sysctrl. Those units are important functions in all NVIDIA products. You will have opportunities to understand the details of those functions and the detailed working flow & process about how to deliver those functions successfully. The function of those functions becomes more and more complex therefore to clear architecture/correct implementation/fully verification those implementations and ensure bug-free within the tight schedule becomes more and more challenging. So, the CAD/Infra work is more and more important. Your mission is cooperating with talents inside SOC System-ASIC team and NVIDIA infrastructure team to develop some innovative and groundbreaking tools, working flow & process, using AI applications to assist team operations to improve whole team efficiency and work quality.

What you’ll be doing:

• Get familiar with NVIDIA design and verification development environment, flow and process.

• Brainstorm with IP design or verification owners to figure out suffering points or discuss infra-related improvement ideas. Settle down the specific requirement and choose the suitable methodology to develop infrastructure flow/tool.

• Responsible for maintaining and developing automation/intelligence infrastructure flow and methodology including GUI-based tool like Web system and other cross-platform applications. Setup regression/analyze flow based on AI/auto flow and create the efficient developing environment for design and verification work

• Research on NVIDIA in-house or industry commercial design or verification tools and workflows. Utilize them or develop new applications on top of them to tackle System-ASIC team design/verification/arch challenges.

What we need to see:

• 3+ years related experience with MS in EE/CE/CS;

• Strong coding skill for Python, Perl, JavaScript etc.;

• Possessing web development experience and familiarity with mainstream databases;

• Fluent English (both written and spoken) and excellent communication skills to interface with many groups and build consensus.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Has Web system or GUI based application knowledge is a plus.

• Experience with AI RAG/Fine-tuning applications

• Understanding of fundamental ASIC concepts
