As a Pre-Sales Commercial and SLED Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales initiatives with customer and prospect accounts. You will understand complex customer needs, craft tailored solutions, and communicate the value of our offerings. The role requires strengths and a background in defining architectural strategies to guide customers toward adopting Veeam technologies. Responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, implementing POCs, supporting lead generation activities, collaborating with customers to translate business objectives into technical requirements, and providing technical expertise on data resiliency. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to position offerings effectively.
Must have:
  • 7+ years of experience in a Pre-Sales Systems Engineer role
  • Proven track record of leading pre-sales efforts and driving sales growth
  • Experience creating tailored proposals and RFP responses
  • Industry-based experience in storage, networking, security, and virtualization
  • In-depth knowledge of top accounts in the covered territory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be able to present to large groups

LOCATION REQUIREMENT: 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA

As a Pre-Sales Commercial and SLED Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales initiatives with our customer and prospect accounts. Your deep technical expertise and strategic insight will enable you to understand complex customer needs, craft tailored solutions, and effectively communicate the value of our offerings to key decision-makers. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, technically competent Veeam Systems Engineer with the ability to partner with other groups within Veeam to close sales. The role requires strengths and a background in defining architectural strategies to guide customers toward adopting Veeam technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations tailored for end users, decision makers, and C-level audiences. Clearly articulating how our solutions can drive business transformation and deliver measurable value
  • Implement and manage POCs to technical closure
  • Support lead-generation activities such as events, webinars, and user groups
  • Collaborate with the customer/partner to establish and translate business objectives into technical requirements
  • Independently consult with the customer base to provide technical expertise on data resiliency
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to position our offerings effectively against competitors in discussions with senior leadership

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in a Pre-Sales Systems Engineer role, specifically engaging with large enterprise accounts
  • Proven track record of successfully leading pre-sales efforts within large accounts and driving sales growth through strategic engagement with IT leadership
  • Experience creating tailored proposals and RFP responses with large accounts
  • Industry-based experience in storage, networking, security, and virtualization
  • In-depth knowledge of top accounts in the covered territory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be able to present to large groups
