Job Description

The Senior Validation Engineer will be responsible for validating chips, primarily Analog Front-End ADCs, using laboratory instrumentation and software tools. This includes interacting with silicon development teams to solve validation problems and collaborating with local and international teams. The role requires knowledge of laboratory instruments like power supplies, oscilloscopes, and function generators. The engineer will also need to understand Python, firmware development, PCB schematics, and data sheets, along with basic knowledge of sigma delta ADCs and DACs, and measurement automation.
Must have:
  • Knowledge of laboratory instruments
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Basic knowledge of firmware development
  • Ability to analyze PCB schematics and layout
  • Teamwork skills
  • Ability to comprehend datasheets
  • Basic knowledge of sigma delta ADC and DAC

Business Unit Description

NXP’s High Precision Analog business unit is looking for highly-motivated validation engineers for chip validation, mainly Analog Front-End ADC, using laboratory instrumentation and different software tools. The focus is to deliver designs that produce high-performance Analog Front End products.

Purpose of the job

For this job it is requested to have knowledge in chip validation, mainly Analog Front End ADC, using laboratory instrumentation and different software tools. The candidate will have to interface with different working figures in the field of silicon development, in such a way as to find solutions to different validation problems, will have to work in groups with local and also with different teams around the world. The major responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to, in the description to the following Job Summary

Job Summary:

  • Basic Knowledge of laboratory instruments (Power Supply, Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Function Generator etc...)
  • Python.
  • Base Knowledge of firmware development.
  • PCB Schematic and layout analysis.
  • Teamwork.
  • Datasheet comprehension of various devices.
  • Basic Knowledge of sigma delta ADC.
  • Basic Knowledge of DAC.
  • Measurement Automation.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electronic Engineer or similar.
  • English (read, spoken, written) is a must.
