About the Team:
The recon team is responsible for the improvement and maintenance of Clearwater’s reconciliation software offering. This critical section of our software pipeline performs automated data consistency and quality checks on trillions in AUM every day. Our software ensures that our clients have high quality and accurate data to make important investment decisions. We also provide tools to allow for the investigation and remediation of detected anomalies.
Successful developers on this team have a strong sense of ownership for their software. They bring passion for understanding our clients and improving their lives. They know how to monitor, diagnose and quickly address production incidents. They can also demonstrate an ability to successfully make large changes in high volume, mission critical, software systems.
Job Summary:
The Software Development Engineer role at Clearwater Analytics spans a spectrum of responsibilities with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing software systems. Across all levels, a successful software development engineer will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, excellent coding abilities, a keen understanding of the software ecosystem, and a cooperative team player attitude.
Responsibilities:
· Develop a solid understanding of the team’s domain.

· Regularly give feedback and ask questions in code reviews.
· Perform root-cause analyses for software issues and identify effective solutions.

Required Skills:
· Fundamental understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
· Solid programming skills in a modern object-oriented language ideally Kotlin or Java.

Education and Experience:
