Snyk’s Incubation Accelerator is seeking a Staff Incubation Engineer to lead the technical design, development, and deployment of groundbreaking products that empower developers and enhance security worldwide.  

As a Staff Incubation Engineer within Snyk’s Incubation Accelerator, you’ll be at the forefront of technical innovation, working on complex engineering challenges to build a transformative new product. This role involves full-stack development, system architecture, and end-to-end ownership of the product lifecycle - from rapid prototyping to large-scale deployment. You’ll work in a lean, agile environment, rapidly iterating on solutions to achieve product-market fit.

You’ll Spend Your Time:

• Designing, developing, and implementing scalable, high-performance software solutions from scratch, covering both frontend and backend components.  
• Architecting systems for flexibility, scalability, and security, ensuring robust, maintainable, and high-quality codebases.  
• Building rapid prototypes to validate ideas, iterate on feedback, and pivot quickly to achieve the best product-market fit.  
• Analyzing and optimizing system performance, ensuring high availability, low latency, and efficient resource utilization.  
• Designing and deploying cloud-native applications leveraging modern infrastructure, including containerization and microservices architecture.  
• Operating within a lean, agile environment, utilizing continuous integration and delivery pipelines to accelerate development cycles.  
• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to ensure cohesive product development and alignment with business goals.  
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of high ownership, creativity, and technical excellence.  

What You’ll Need:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, with a focus on full-stack development and system architecture.  
• Proven track record of building scalable, high-performance applications from scratch.  
• Extensive experience in building and deploying scalable full-stack applications, including expertise in at least one of the following backend languages: Node.js, Python, or Go.  
• Demonstrated experience in applying machine learning (ML) techniques to solve real-world problems.
• Strong experience in system architecture, design patterns, and cloud-native solutions, with the ability to make strategic technical decisions.  
• A proactive problem-solver who thrives in high-autonomy environments and is passionate about building products from the ground up.  
• Demonstrative interest in the product, actively seeks to understand user needs, and is enthusiastic about engaging with users to gather feedback.
• Experience with agentic AI/LLM stacks (e.g., MCP, Langchain).
