Job Summary
Job Description
As a Tax Associate, you will be an integral part of the global tax team, working on corporate, gaming tax and VAT on an operational and strategic level. You will prepare tax computations, returns, and compliance documents, assist in quarterly and yearly tax reporting, and support the tax and finance team. Additionally, you will provide internal support for VAT queries, evaluate VAT implications, liaise with external advisors, and stay updated on tax legislation. You will also partner with cross-functional teams to support business needs.
Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or ACCA certification.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles is required.
- Knowledge of Maltese corporate tax principles is required.
Good to have:
- Experience in the iGaming industry is valuable.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As LeoVegas continues to grow and expand globally, we are looking for a talented team member to become an integral part of our global tax team. We are looking for a dedicated Tax Associate to join our growing team. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in tax accounting and a passion for helping businesses thrive, we want to hear from you. The Tax Associate will have the opportunity to work within the full spectrum of tax (including corporate and gaming tax as well as VAT) on both an operational and strategic level.
The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, have excellent organisational and analytical skills, a strong attention to detail as well as the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks. The Tax Associate will report to the Tax Manager located in Malta.

Essential Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or completion of ACCA or equivalent certification
- Holds at least 1 year experience in a similar role in a consultancy firm such as Big4
- Knowledge of accounting principles is required
- Knowledge of Maltese corporate tax principles is required including the ability to prepare tax computations.
Nice to have skills:
- Experience of working with the iGaming industry is valuable.
