Job Description
A GoFood UX Writer will focus on solving user friction across Indonesia. Responsibilities include creating helpful and delightful features for consumer-facing products like GoFood and GoMart, or business products like the GoFood Merchant app. The role involves close collaboration with Product Managers, Designers, Researchers, and Engineers to brainstorm and implement solutions based on user needs. The UX Writer will lead content design processes, deliver features with high-quality output, strategize user communication, contribute to team discussions, and intensely collaborate with stakeholders for feedback, alignment, conflict resolution, and advocacy.
Must have:

About The Role
A GoFood UX Writer will spend their time solving friction for users across Indonesia from day one. Depending on their assignment, their scope can cover our consumer-facing products such as GoFood, GoMart or GoFood Merchant app for Business products, creating helpful and delightful new features, new products, and enhancing our excitement to bring greater impact for the company.
They will work closely with core Product Development Group stakeholders like Product Managers, Designers, Researchers, and also Engineering team, brainstorming and solutioning possible improvements based on our users’ needs.
What You Will Do
- Get involved and lead the content designing process in assigned streams involving stakeholders from Designers, Researchers, Illustrators, Product Managers, Business Teams, Marketing, Legal, and others, following the pre-defined processes but also able to identify rooms for improvement during the processes.
- Effectively deliver features and improvements per agreed mass timelines with high-quality output.
- Strategize for how Gojek better communicates to their users.
- Contribute to team discussions in improving collective quality output.
- Closely and intensely collaborate and communicate with stakeholders in given contexts such as: gathering feedback, aligning thoughts to reach an agreement, giving feedback to stakeholders, resolving conflicts, and so on.
What You Will Need
- Proficient in English and Indonesian grammar. Have a knack for languages and their role in society, daily conversation, device-mediated communication, and others.
- Excellent understanding of writing fundamentals, such as structured thinking, critical and creative thinking, context gathering, research, problem-solving, seeking feedback, and prioritization.
- Able to think beyond common structures, but generate original ideas and craft copywriting
- Able to think like a UI/UX Designer
- Insatiable curiosity to understand your customers and how to make their live better
- Strong self-driven purpose of work and possess a high initiative of doing what’s right and not what’s easy
- A rich understanding of Indonesians and how they go about their daily lives
- Fearlessness in getting your hands dirty to find out root causes, or to validate your design, through qualitative and quantitative research
- Remarkable communication in collaborating with stakeholders and advocating your work
- Confident and independent self-management, project management, and leadership
