The FCU Technology team at PwC Polska is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The role involves collaborating with architects and engineers to deliver scalable services, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting systems, and advocating for best practices in automation and security. The candidate will also participate in reviews of new and changed components. The role requires a self-starter with problem-solving skills and a passion for automating SW engineering tasks.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of IT industry experience.
  • Experience with software configuration management tools.
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
  • Scripting/programming skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux systems.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Ansible.
  • Understanding of .NET, TypeScript or Java code.

The FCU Technology team at PwC Polska includes over 100 IT specialists. The financial services industry operates in a challenging environment due to global economic pressures, increasing regulatory and capital requirements, and significant operational and technological changes. As FCU Technology, we provide innovative technological solutions, data analytics and consulting services for global PwC clients, responding to key challenges in the area of Anti Financial Crime (Anti Money Laundering, Combating Terrorism Financing, Fraud Risk Management, FATCA and implementation of financial sanctions, etc.).

We are looking for:

DevOps Engineer

Your future role:

  • Engaging closely with architects, software engineers and business, in order to deliver highly available and scalable services,

  • Maintaining and developing continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines for containerized (micro-services) solution to achieve reliable and stable releases,

  • Maintaining and configuring tools within projects’ tech stack (Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Octopus and other ones),

  • Troubleshooting issues for various Microsoft Azure and Google cloud-based systems and improving tool chain as well as associated processes towards more automation and shorter turnaround times,

  • Participating in reviews of new and changed components,

  • Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business,

  • Apply and advocate best practices in: automation, testing, deployment and security,

  • Self-starter, problem solving skills, positive attitude, willingness to learn, passion to automate SW engineering tasks.

Apply if you have:

  • Operations engineering background with experience working on Operations/Support project,

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in IT industry,

  • Master’s degree (preferred in IT, Computer Science),

  • Experience with software configuration management (Azure DevOps, GitLab, Bash, Jenkins, Powershell, NuGet, Sonarqube, code review tools, static analysis tools, installer/packagers, provisioning tools, virtualization/cloud based build and testing systems),

  • Understanding ideas of CI/CD and experience with CI/CD toolset including Github, Jenkins, TeamCity,

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, GoogleCloud or another Cloud provider,

  • Scripting/programming skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python),

  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux-based systems and technologies as well as system administration,

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices (Azure environment, Google Cloud),

  • Experience with Ansible will be a plus,

  • Understanding of .NET, TypeScript or Java code will be a plus,

  • Ability to work well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy,

  • Excellent written and spoken English.
