The Sales Programs Director will lead and scale Enterprise programs, working closely with Sales Leadership to drive revenue growth. The role involves owning pipeline programs, such as pipeline generation and progression programs, and activating the sales team. The director will also provide guidance to Enterprise Sales leaders on pipeline-related topics, manage program activities to improve pipeline health, and drive long-term transformation in pipe generation and progression across the team. The role requires a strong understanding of the sales cycle and the ability to collaborate with various teams.

The Strategy & Programs team at Salesforce is a high-performance team chartered with formulating our cross-functional productivity strategy, driving excellence in execution through optimising the seller experience, and assisting senior leaders in achieving sales growth through data-driven insights.

Sales Programs is a critical function working closely and collaborating with Sales Leadership to drive incremental revenue for Salesforce. The main job functions are pipeline planning, management & execution (pipeline councils, horsemen alignment, pipeline updates, quarterly demand generation plans), pipeline programs end to end ownership (Pipe Gen and Progression Programs, HSUS, Bundles & Incentives, etc.), and activation of our selling team. The role also will help support general Pipeline operations, activities and management.

We are looking for a Sales Programs Director to lead and scale our Enterprise programs in close alignment with the Sales Leadership team & the extended Sales Programs team.

Scope:

  • Serve as the Trusted Advisor to the aligned Enterprise Sales leaders on all pipeline related topics, including both pipe generation and pipe progression, across all horsemen

  • Define & own the operational cadence linked to programmatic & scalable pipegen and pipe progression activities to ensure flawless execution against quarterly priorities, including pipe councils, pipe generation days, pipe progression days, etc.

  • Align and collaborate with other Sales Programs teams locally and globally to deliver pipeline health improvements at scale

  • Act as a forcing function looking to always improve and scale best practices in programs execution

  • Own strategic projects to drive long-term transformation & evolution regarding becoming more programmatic with pipegen and pipe progression across the team


Skills/Expertise Required:

  • Prior experience in sales programs / demand generation roles within a high growth SaaS company

  • Track record of building strong relationships with and presenting to senior stakeholders in commercial functions, pipeline emphasis preferred

  • Demonstrable program management experience in a sales environment; fully knowledgeable of all steps of the sales cycle from lead generation to closing

  • Strong ability to drive best practice in execution acting as an excellent team player, collaborating with a set of diverse functions and groups

  • Strong time management and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability.
