AECOM is seeking Electrical Engineering professionals for contracting opportunities within its Resources + Industry business line in Australia. This role involves working on mining and minerals processing projects, supporting clients in their journey to net-zero emissions. The company offers services from concept to decommissioning and closure. Successful candidates will join a global team of technical experts dedicated to delivering a better world and will contribute to diverse projects across transportation, buildings, water, new energy, and the environment.

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in consultancy or mining/processing facility
  • Design and specification of mining plant/infrastructure
  • Materials and fluids handling systems experience
  • Strong communication skills

Job Description

At AECOM, the ‘Resources + Industry (R+I)’ business line offers services that span the entire project life cycle. From concept to detailed design, engineering and project management for execution and commissioning phases, as well as decommissioning and closure of existing operations.

Our broad global and collaborative approach assists the industry as it faces new challenges in greenfield and brownfield mining and minerals processing, and we are supporting our clients on their journey to achieving net zero emissions.

In our ANZ offices (Brisbane, Mackay, South Townsville, Newcastle, Adelaide), we are welcoming 'expresisons of interest' for Electrical Engineering professionals who prefer contracting opportunities, either on a casual or medium to long-term basis.

We are looking for technical experts confident to bring your skills and experience to a world renowned, Tier 1 Engineering Consultancy.

Led by collaborative leaders, you will be working with world leading technical experts who are passionate and creative and proud to be part of a company that is dedicated to delivering a better world.

What are we looking for from you?

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with experience for a consultancy or an operating mining processing facility
  • Experience in the design and specification of mining plant, infrastructure, materials handling and fluids handling systems and equipment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills 
  • Experience in delivering successful project outcomes from initiation to execution demonstrating commercial acumen throughout
