Junior Media Research Specialist

The E.W Scripps company is hiring a Media Research Specialist. This role will be responsible for processing, organizing, and connecting various data sources. Applies both quantitative and creative discipline to translate data into actionable insights through data visualization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Report and evaluate existing metrics, develop new metrics and reports for audiences.
• Attend meetings with programming, marketing, and/or distribution as needed, offering input on plans, based on network performance.
• Develop a deep understanding of data and the ability to determine the difference between actual performance issues and data integrity errors.
• Perform competitive analysis for new programs on competing networks.
• Maintain the historical trackers and monthly movie database to provide quick ratings information to the team.
• Input program schedules into measurement tools

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Preferred BA/BS degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or another related quantitative field.
• 1-3 years experience in data/analytics or related field
• Research data analytics tools experience

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Knowledge and/or experience of providing data requirements while working with structured and unstructured data
• Strong data visualization skills
• Statistical knowledge
• Logical thinker who can identify, articulate, and resolve data related issues
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to perform data informed decision-making
