Job Description
This position at Wind River involves working on the middleware component of a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), including 3rd party libraries and modules like Storage, Networking, System Debugs, and Simulator. The role requires expertise in VxWorks RTOS or any RTOS architecture and providing robust solutions through architecture reviews. The responsibilities include developing, optimizing, and delivering software to support HVP and VxWorks, as well as contributing to Wind River's growth in new embedded and enterprise market segments. The candidate will also be expected to take initiative to improve features and processes, contribute ideas for product improvements, and collaborate with global software engineering teams.
Must have:
- Experience in developing low level embedded OS capabilities.
- Good knowledge and experience of any RTOS such as VxWorks.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the middleware component of RTOS that would encompass 3rd Party libs and other modules like Storage, Networking, System Debugs and Simulator.
Good Knowledge in VxWorks RTOS or Any RTOS Architecture and Support on architecture review in providing robust solutions.
Helping to develop, optimize and deliver the software needed to support HVP & VxWorks, as well as helping Wind River to grow in its role in new embedded and enterprise market segments.
Take initiative to improve features and processes.
Contribute ideas for product improvements and iterations.
Collaborate effectively with global software engineering teams.
Qualifications
BTech / MTech degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree).
Total Experience: 12 Years
Solid understanding of software development methodology.
Minimum 6-8 years' experience in developing low level embedded OS capabilities, such as device driver development, board support packages, and board bring up.
Good Knowledge and experience of any RTOS (QNX, VxWorks, FreeRTOS, Linux, etc.).
Experience in developing middleware written preferably in C, C++ and experience working with BSP, Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) and Bootloader development.
Good understanding and experience of Embedded systems and related HW, SW components (Processor, Memory, Peripherals, OS, Device Drivers etc.).
Strong working experience in HW interface for ARM 64-bit OR Intel Architecture processors with assembly programming and with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Strong understanding on the underlying Architecture: CPU, MMU, Cache, Interrupts, DMA, ADC/DAC, EEPROM, PWM, Watchdog Timers, and other embedded peripherals.
Experience in programming PIC, GIC, UART, Timer, Nexus Bus, Simple Bus, Memory Controller etc.
