The Sales Development Team Lead will manage a team of talented Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), focusing on the Central and Southern Europe territory. The role involves daily coaching, weekly one-on-one meetings, and participation in quarterly high-performance coaching processes. Responsibilities include preparing for team meetings, reviewing and championing Salesforce.com and Gong Engage hygiene, representing Sales Development in meetings, supporting recruitment, and mentoring new team members. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and a proactive approach to achieving goals. The candidate should also be able to articulate their ability to effectively manage both inbound and outbound Sales Development functions, as well as excellent communication skills.
Must have:
  • Experience leading a team of SDRs
  • Native or C1 level French (written and verbal) is required
  • Experience working in a multi-team environment
  • Demonstrated work ethic and consistent over achievement
Good to have:
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and Gong Engage
  • Experience in lead generation or sales
  • Experience selling eCommerce and Marketing focused solutions

Job Details

Bazaarvoice is looking for a Sales Development Team Lead - Central and Southern Europe territory, with a proven ability of handling the day-to-day requirements of a team of talented SDRs and managing stakeholder relationships. Our SDRs are required to understand how to assess a company’s needs and cater the outreach to each prospect specifically. Creativity is vital to this role. We need leaders who are hungry to get out and make business happen, who do not stop when obstacles are encountered, but rather, find alternative ways to overcome these challenges and continually drive momentum. We want candidates whose energy can be felt on the other end of the line: we want ambition! The ideal candidate will be able to articulate their ability to effectively manage both inbound and outbound Sales Development functions, as well as excellent communication skills. Being confident in positioning a high-ROI solution that can cost the client over $125,000 per year.


Primary Duties of the role:
  • Day-to-day coaching of the SDRs within the team to align with the needs of the business.
  • Manage weekly 1:1’s with team members
  • Work with line manager on quarterly high performance coaching process (HCPs), including being an advocate for individual development plans (IDP’s)
  • Assist in the preparation for weekly team meetings – and subbing in for line manager when needed
  • Reviewing and championing Salesforce.com (SFDC) and Gong Engage hygiene on a daily/weekly/monthly basis (activity volume, SQTs created/accepted/rejected, Opp progression and pipeline value add)
  • Represent Sales Development in Sales and Marketing meetings
  • Support the recruitment of new team members as required
  • Mentorship and onboarding assistance to new members on team (inc. assignment of BV Buddies)

Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
  • Bachelors degree and/or relevant working experience
  • Native or C1 minimum French or German (both written and verbal) - Required
  • Experience leading a team of SDRs
  • Experience with working in a multi-team collaborative environment
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com and Gong Engage is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated work ethic and consistent over achievement
  • Lead generation or sales experience a strong plus
  • Selling eCommerce and Marketing focused solutions
  • The ability to learn quickly and be a self-starter are vital to this role.
