The position requires a self-starter with strong communication and problem-solving skills. This role requires working in the office every Tuesday and Thursday.
Must have:
  • ACCA/ICEAW/CIMA qualified or 3-6 years accounting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of US and UK GAAP and SOX
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

What You’ll Do:
 
This Senior Accountant position (Based in the UK) is an opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join a dynamic business with high visibility and growth ambitions. Ziff Davis continues to grow and we are expanding our global accounting team. As a fast paced, dynamic, global team supporting a public company we are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Company's accounting activities.
 
As a Senior Accountant, you will participate in all activities related to full-cycle general ledger accounting for several business units. The Senior Accountant will analyze financial data to identify issues and inconsistencies, assist in internal and external financial reporting and provide accounting guidance to operations. 
 
This position will require the ability to drive change and contribute to automation initiatives of manual processes to produce consistent, timely and accurate financial results and reporting.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the preparation and execution of monthly and quarterly close deliverables, including preparation of journal entries with supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts as part of month end close cycle with focus on continuous improvement.
  • Maintain Tangibles and Intangibles Asset Registers.
  • Maintain and manage intercompany reconciliations.
  • Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
  • Analyse financial information and drive month end support and documentation
  • Liaison to internal and external auditors to support public company requirements
  • Coordinate and prepare reports to provide management critical insights into the business and support data driven decision making.
  • Support cross functional teams such as FP&A, Tax, Financial operations, Internal audit and Legal
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Job Requirements and Experience: 
  • Fully / Part qualified accountant (ACCA/ICEAW/CIMA) or has at least 3-6 years operational accounting experience, financial reporting, and analysis or a combination thereof.
  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently while contributing to overall department objectives
  • Strong MS Office experience, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal are essential to this position
  • Demonstrates problem-solving ability & able to identify issues and make recommendations with solution
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively and consistently with all levels of finance, operations, and senior management
  • Demonstrates knowledge of US and UK GAAP and SOX
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to meet tight quarterly deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and willingness to take initiative as a self-starter
  • Team player who exhibits a positive and professional attitude
  • Oracle Fusion experience a plus.
Key Role Details:
  • Based in the UK.
    Hybrid Working Model (Requires 2 days in a week, work from our London office).
    NOTE:
    You have to work on every Tuesday and Thursday in a week from our Ziff Davis London, UK office.
