Job Description

The Associate Strategist, Customer Onboarding, Acquisitions role at Google Customer Solutions focuses on driving growth for new and existing business clients. You'll build and manage client relationships, understanding their business challenges and marketing objectives. This involves presenting Google advertising products and solutions, developing data-driven strategies, and working cross-functionally with internal teams. The role requires strong communication (Mandarin and English), consultative sales skills, and a deep understanding of digital advertising. You'll own a set of new customers for six months, ensuring their long-term success and contributing to the overall growth of Google's customer base. The team operates with a start-up mentality, emphasizing creativity and self-management.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, digital media sales, business development, online media environment, or digital marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in customer-facing consulting or business.
  • Experience in reaching out to customers/cold calling and helping customers to add value to their business.
  • Experience working in a digital agency, with a Google product focus.
  • Experience in the TV or media industry.

Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

Our mission is to enable the first taste of sustainable success to all customers since to our customers, you are the Google point-of-contact. Working with our most valuable new customers as they go through a sustainable onboarding period, you set the outlook and the strategy for how their products and services reach thousands or millions of users. You will own a set of new customers for six months to make them successful long-term and grow the next generation of high-potential customers for Google.

You work with a highly engaged, fun team and bring creativity to grow and transform. The Customer Onboarding team operates like a Start-Up - 'Run It Like You Own It' mentality - to enable creativity thought-leadership with a self-management team practice.

In this role, you will demonstrate your strengths in product knowledge, consultative business (we pitch to our clients), and account management - work cross-functionally with our acquisitions, product, program, and same-store teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with clients, and develop an understanding of their business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Work proactively and cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure workflows and projects are completed on time to a high standard.
  • Plan for, and achieve, business growth targets, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives.
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers.
