Position Overview:
The HP Imaging, Printing & Solutions marketing team is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to drive demand for printing supplies, including toner and ink cartridges, and printers for everyday use at home, families, and home offices. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the product marketing strategy, translating product capabilities into compelling positioning, messaging, and content that resonate with global customers. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with product management, regional marketing, go-to-market, category, and sales to bring products to market and drive sales.

Responsibilities 

The Global Product Marketing Manager will lead a range of tasks, including:

  • Define, write, and test differentiated value propositions for printer supplies and hardware, tailored to relevant customer segments.

  • Use in-depth knowledge of customer insights, to create product messaging that resonates with target audiences, and effectively communicates the product’s value.

  • Conduct research and testing to understand customer needs, global market trends, and competitive landscapes. Advocate for customer perspective.

  • Develop sales tools and enablement materials, such as pitch decks, battlecards, and training materials.

  • Provide updates and lead presentations with product management, business partners, and senior leadership to ensure close collaboration and alignment.

  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams to ensure global strategy accounts for local market needs and is consistently implemented.

  • Oversee messaging and asset reviews with stakeholders and leadership, to ensure consistent, accurate, and on-time delivery.

  • Manage agency partners to deliver assets on time and within budget. Own scope, brief, and adherence to timelines and budget. Manage projects end-to-end and deliver approved assets using Adobe Workfront.

  • Collaborate with Communications team and other partners on product launches, announcements, and events to support business goals and ensure product strategy is consistent across touchpoints.

  • Document and refine processes to ensure alignment with business and regional marketing stakeholders.

  • Manage functional budgets and forecasting for assigned product lines.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and customer journey mapping.

  • Demonstrated skill developing product positioning and messaging end-to end-and effectively manage feedback from cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Excellent project management skills with proven experience driving multiple concurrent product launches and initiatives.

  • Balance of strategic planning and meticulous execution to ensure consistency on a global scale.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills, including presenting and influencing, with senior and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership skills including team building, conflict resolution and consensus-building, in a highly matrixed, global organization. Ability to influence and lead virtual teams and interface effectively with all levels of management and cross-functional disciplines.

  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action and results orientation and pragmatic approach to managing obstacles – someone who always finds a way to “get it done.”

  • Passionate, driven, dependable, and transformational – a real change agent.

  • Flexibility to regularly meet virtually with colleagues from around the world in different time zones and occasionally travel globally.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing or Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • 7-10+ years of work experience, preferably in product marketing, sales enablement, go-to-market strategy, customer research, product management, at a global technology hardware or consumer goods company.
