As the HR Automation & AI Lead at Make, you will be at the forefront of driving efficiency and innovation within the People department. You will collaborate with the VP to identify and implement strategic automation and AI solutions, shaping the future of workflows. This role involves managing automation projects, staying updated on the latest advancements, and championing automation and AI innovation. Responsibilities include executing efficiency plans, owning the Automation & AI pipeline, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will also participate in team challenges and contribute to a supportive environment.

About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of driving efficiency and innovation within our People department. You'll work closely with the VP to identify and implement strategic automation and AI solutions, shaping the future of our workflows. As the HR Automation & AI Lead, you'll be the go-to expert for all things automation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and empowering your colleagues to embrace cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Efficiency Plans: Collaborate with the VP to identify and execute opportunities for efficiency gains through advanced automation. Develop and contribute to departmental strategic planning.
  • Own the Automation & AI Pipeline for People & Culture: Manage and optimize the processes within the department, serving as the primary point of contact and ensuring accountability for all automation projects.
  • Champion Automation & AI Innovation in People & Culture: Propose, test, and implement novel automation and AI solutions. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field and identify opportunities for radical improvement.
  • Help Others Succeed: Participate in bi-annual team challenges and contribute to a collaborative and supportive environment. Elevate the work of your colleagues and foster a strong team dynamic.

What You'll Need:

  • Automation Expertise (Highly Advanced): Extensive experience in designing, building, and implementing complex automations. Deep understanding of automation principles and best practices.
  • AI Proficiency (Intermediate+): Solid understanding of AI concepts, applications, and tools, with practical experience in leveraging AI for problem-solving.
  • Make Familiarity: Proficiency with the Make platform (or similar automation tools) and the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
  • Experience with Enterprise systems, like Workday or Greenhouse. Other enterprise systems like ServiceNow or Salesforce are a bonus. 
  • Solution-Oriented Approach: Proven ability to develop scalable and user-friendly solutions that address real-world business challenges.
  • Autonomy and Learning Mindset: Ability to work independently, proactively seek new knowledge, and adapt to evolving technologies.
  • Ownership and Focus: Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for Automation & AI initiatives, with a focused approach to achieving goals.
  • Integrity and Teamwork: Uphold ethical principles and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Openness and Drive: Curiosity, enthusiasm, and a drive to explore new ideas and solutions. Open and active listening skills.
