Synechron is seeking an IT Project Manager with a focus on Quality Assurance. The role involves managing large and complex software quality assurance testing projects from initiation to closure. Responsibilities include requirement analysis, resource and budget estimations, driving project strategy and plans with milestones and timelines, ensuring scope understanding, participating in estimation and planning meetings for QA efforts, providing expertise on manual and automation testing, managing proof of concepts, and ensuring testing standards and governance. The project manager will also oversee simultaneous projects, proactively identify and resolve issues, and generate reports for senior management.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field
  • 5 years of experience as Software Developer, Engineer, Programmer, or Analyst
  • SQL and Shell Scripting
  • Siebel Testing, Web Application Testing, Database Testing
  • Banking Domain knowledge

The RoleIT Project Manager (Quality Assurance) (Ref 780)

Responsibilities:

Manage large and complex software quality assurance testing projects; requirement analysis, resource and budget estimations, and drive project strategy and plan with milestones and timelines, ensuring that the scope as well as the approach is fully understood by all stakeholders involved; participate in elaboration, estimation and planning meetings to provide best estimate and scope of the QA effort; provide guidance and subject matter expertise on application testing (manual and automation); manage and direct proof of concept with clients in close coordination with analysis and product/technical teams; manage testing standards and governance models, ensure quality of deliverables, maintain traceability of processes, standards and product quality conformance; overall project management of simultaneous projects from initiation to closure, proactively identify, communicate and resolve issues and generate customized reports updating senior management.

Requirements:

Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Any Branch), Information Technology, Computer Applications/Applied Computer Science or Computer/Management Information Systems plus five (5) years of experience as Software Developer, Software Engineer, Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst, or related position.  Foreign educational equivalent accepted.

3. TOSCA-Automation Testing, Quick Test Professional, Rational Functional Testing

4. Banking Domain

Worksite:  11 Times Square, Suite# 3301, New York, NY - 10036.  Exact worksite location not known at this time but will report to and will be paid out of headquarters office in New York.

Salary Offered$155,542.00 per annum
