This role seeks a Talent Acquisition partner to manage staffing for Production roles at the College Point print facility and corporate roles at NYC headquarters. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will oversee the hiring process, source candidates, and apply advanced interviewing techniques. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week, split between the Print Plant in Flushing, NY, and NYC headquarters. You will build relationships with hiring managers, advise on decisions, and provide market insights.
Must have:
  • Conduct full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and negotiating offers.
  • Meet with executives, hiring managers and HR to identify hiring needs and develop hiring plans.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with hiring managers and candidates on the hiring process.
  • Partner with hiring teams to interview candidates through a structured interview process.
  • Advise hiring managers in making hiring decisions.
  • Work with team members to coordinate the interview process.
  • Source qualified candidates through job sites, databases, networking, etc.
  • Select and present qualified candidates to hiring teams.
  • Create reports on hiring progress and other recruiting metrics.
  • Maintain a pool of candidates through strategic sourcing, research, and excellent candidate experience.
  • Identify and provide insights on trends, issues, and opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Articulate blockers and challenges in your searches and come up with solutions to address them.
  • Demonstrate support and understanding of journalistic independence and commitment to the mission.
  • 7+ years of experience in high-touch, full-cycle recruitment, high-volume or seasonal hiring.
  • 2+ years of experience recruiting for union roles.
  • 2+ years of experience managing requisitions in an ATS (Workday, Greenhouse).
  • 1+ year working on an in-house talent acquisition team.
  • Verbally Fluent in Spanish.

  • 2+ years of experience recruiting for corporate functions
  • 1+ years of experience working in an OFCCP-compliant environment

About the Role

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition partner to cover our staffing needs, focused on Production roles at our College Point print facility as well as corporate roles at our NYC headquarters.

You will report to the Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition and manage our hiring process, source qualified candidates, and apply advanced interviewing techniques. You'll employ your specialized skills and network to help us bring the right people on board.

You will be in a hybrid position based at our Print Plant in Flushing, NY, with 1 day out of our NYC headquarters at 620 8th Ave for a total of 3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and negotiating offers.
  • Meet with executives, hiring managers and HR to identify hiring needs and develop hiring plans.
  • May occasionally require a flexible schedule to support client needs outside of the typical business hours of 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with hiring managers and candidates on the hiring process to provide a positive and communicative experience.
  • Partner with hiring teams to interview candidates through a structured interview process
  • Advise hiring managers in making hiring decisions.
  • Work with team members to coordinate the interview process.
  • Source qualified candidates through job sites, databases, networking, etc.
  • Select and present qualified candidates to hiring teams.
  • Create reports on hiring progress and other recruiting metrics.
  • Maintain a pool of candidates through strategic sourcing, research, and excellent candidate experience.
  • Identify and provide insights on trends, issues, and opportunities in the marketplace that affect candidate pools and share them with the leadership team and hiring partners.
  • Articulate blockers and challenges in your searches and come up with solutions to address them.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience working in high-touch, full-cycle recruitment, high-volume or seasonal hiring.
  • 2+ years of experience recruiting for union roles.
  • 2+ years of experience managing requisitions in an ATS, e.g., Workday and Greenhouse.
  • 1+ year working on an in-house talent acquisition team
  • Verbally Fluent in Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience recruiting for corporate functions.
  • 1+ years of experience working in an OFCCP-compliant environment.

The annual base pay range for this role is between:

$115,000 - $130,000 USD
