Job Description

We are looking for a Media Production Specialist for Ubisoft Chengdu. As the key person in this role, you will promote the Chengdu studio as the best place to work for, by producing engaging video, image, and live-stream content. Working closely with the Communications Director and peers, you will develop and deliver media content for a variety of branding initiatives, including project updates, studio annual meetings, livestreaming events, and employer branding campaigns. The content will span multiple platforms, such as internal livestream channels, the Intranet, LinkedIn, Weibo, WeChat, Bilibili, and YouTube. Additionally, you will design and implement media production pipelines and strategies to strengthen Ubisoft Chengdu's reputation as a reliable partner and attractive workplace for internal and external communities. A successful Media Production Specialist possesses excellent knowledge and skills in media production. You will produce media across various formats, conduct rigorous quality control, and make informed recommendations regarding equipment to ensure tasks are completed with precision and professionalism.
Must have:
  • Define and develop a roadmap for media production across various channels.
  • Create compelling videos/images for various needs: project release, studio annual meetings, livestreaming events, social media channels.
  • Plan and direct live events to operate impactful internal communication channels.
  • Collaborate with professional video/photo agencies to produce high-quality digital assets.
  • Oversee media production to guarantee quality and compliance of video/image assets and live-stream experience.
  • Work closely with Communications team members to constantly improve production quality and creativity.
  • Propose new ideas to promote Ubisoft China/Chengdu studio internally and externally.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure created assets meet expectations.
Good to have:
  • Experienced in graphic design for branding assets (e.g. posters, thumbnails, social media visuals).
  • Equipped with lighting and staging knowledge for live or recorded events.
  • Previously produced custom gifts or branded merchandise.

Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with Communications Director to define and develop a roadmap for media production across various channels.
  • You will work with different game projects and create compelling videos/images for various needs: project release, studio annual meetings, livestreaming events, social media channels, etc.
  • You will plan and direct live events to operate impactful internal communication channels.
  • You will collaborate with professional video/photo agencies to produce high-quality digital assets.
  • You will oversee the media production to guarantee the quality and compliance of the video/image assets and live-stream experience.
  • You will work closely with other Communications team members to constantly improve the production quality and creativity.
  • You will propose new ideas to promote Ubisoft China/Chengdu studio both internally and externally.
  • You will communicate with internal and external stakeholders including Marketing Communications, project teams, video studios, to ensure the assets we have created meet expectations.

Requirements

  • Your managers know that they can entrust you with projects independently, you are proactive and able to manage several subjects at the same time.
  • You are comfortable in an agile environment, where roadmaps can evolve according to news, stakeholders, studio projects.
  • You’re a pro with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in videography, livestreaming, and photography. From Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects to OBS and mirrorless cameras, you know your tools inside out—and you’re not afraid to use them.
  • You are a team player, always communicate and provide support to internal stakeholders on video, live-stream or image related topics.
  • You have an eye for good art.
  • You are proficient in English and comfortable using it for work.

Bonus Points

  • You are experienced in graphic design for branding assets (e.g. posters, thumbnails, social media visuals).
  • You are equipped with lighting and staging knowledge for live or recorded events.
  • You have previously produced custom gifts or branded merchandise.
