Creates, executes and maintains tests according to test scripts and test plans.
Is required to test either front end or back end software components (or both) and apply industry best practice.
Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, and debugs software solutions.
Reports issues found back to development and/or project management teams and/or implementation teams.
May be required to develop and maintain testing tools to be used by the broader team.
May also specialize in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and/or Process Improvement.

  • Conducts a range of quality control tests and analyses under direct supervision to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards, development specifications or client requirements.
  • Under direct supervision creates test data files with valid and invalid records to test program logic and verify system flow.
  • Is learning to collaborate with internal or external team members to plan different forms of applicable test phases and is coached to ensure that applicable test phases are successfully completed and documented and there is a plan for problem resolution.
  • When specializing in QA, administers and maintains the quality of products and processes, including standard procedures and quality audits/review.
  • Adaptability and Learning Mindset: Demonstrating a willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies is crucial. Adaptability to changing project requirements and the ability to work in a dynamic environment is highly desirable.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency/Good Understanding in at least one programming language is crucial. Common languages used in software QA engineering include Python, Java .Knowledge of scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell can also be valuable.

  • System and Network Knowledge: Understanding of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), databases (e.g., SQL), and computer networks is important. should be familiar with concepts such as client-server architecture, network protocols, and basic system administration tasks.

  • Bug Tracking and Management Tools: Familiar with bug tracking and test case management tools, such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or TestRail, is beneficial. Being able to effectively log, track, and communicate issues is essential for efficient collaboration with development teams.

  • Education Required: Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience Required: At least 1 year preferably 2 year .

The base pay range for this role is $51,800 - $86,300. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
