As a Retail Merchandising District Manager at Hasbro, you'll lead a team of 20 part-time merchandisers, driving sales and showcasing Hasbro's products. Must have:
  • 5-7 years retail merchandising experience
  • 3 years management experience leading field teams
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Good to have:

The ideal Retail Merchandising District Manager for Hasbro should possess a blend of proven retail merchandising expertise and strong leadership, with the ability to think like a merchant and drive Point of Sale (POS) performance. The candidate will thrive in a dynamic and results-driven environment while managing a team of part-time merchandisers. This individual will be passionate about winning in the toys and games space at retail, have a proven track record in driving POS, and demonstrate a commitment to team development and merchandising excellence. 
 

A day in the life of a Retail Merchandising District Manager:


Leadership & Management:

  • Supervise 20 retail merchandisers across multiple locations within the district.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote employee engagement and retention.
  • Manage multiple locations and conduct regular store visits, oversee daily merchandising operations, manage service coverage, and ensure that retail merchandisers meet merchandising operation standards and compliance expectations.


Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations, account management and customer service.
  • Ensure that your team meets or exceeds KPI benchmarks and company policies.
  • Maintain Retail Merchandising standards of excellence across all territories and accounts.


District Performance:

  • Monitor survey results, productivity; develop strategies to improve performance and meet district-level goals.
  • Analyze district reports and photos and identify trends, challenges, and opportunities to drive POS.
  • Handle monthly district service coverage and travel budget.

Recruiting, Training Development:

  • Recruit, hire, and train new merchandisers to fill territory openings in a timely manner.
  • Identify training needs and ensure ongoing staff development to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Conduct quarterly in-store merchandiser work sessions with all direct reports.

Report Analysis:

  • Utilize district reports, inventory, POS data, and team performance metrics to make informed decisions. Identify trends, detect opportunities for improvement, and implement actionable strategies to improve merchandising outcomes and drive sales.

 

What you'll bring:

  • 5-7 years’ Experience in Retail Merchandising with a focus on leading teams.
  • 3 years’ Experience in a Management role where you have been responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and leading a field merchandising team.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Walmart’s VOLT application and TGT Zebra device a plus.
  • Ability to travel overnight and within the district as needed.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders, stand, bend, and engage in physical activity as needed to ensure products are properly merchandised.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of car insurance, and a good DMV record.
  • Must live within the parameters of the assigned territory.

 

 

Compensation Range (USD):

Starting: $71,600

Ending: $143,500
