Job Description

Salesforce seeks high-energy professionals for their Public Sector Sales Development team. As a Sales Development Representative, you'll qualify inbound leads from various sources (calls, chats, downloads, webinars) across the Salesforce portfolio (Core Products, Marketing Cloud, Slack, Tableau, Mulesoft). You'll manage a high volume of leads, prioritizing effectively and using Salesforce CRM to track data. Success is measured by qualified opportunities and closed business, directly impacting marketing strategy. You'll create a great first impression for prospects and build strategic partnerships with Account Executives. The role offers training, resources, and opportunities for sales career advancement within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Must have:

Public Sector Sales Development Representative Job Description

We are seeking high-energy, driven professionals with sound business acumen, strong technical aptitude and natural sales instincts to join the Salesforce Global Public Sector Sales Development organization! Ideal candidates are eager to help customers find the right solution to fit their needs and demonstrate their ability to be tenacious, self-starters every day. As a Sales Development Representative, you will support all Public Sector verticals. You will leverage the Field Marketing team's demand-generation efforts by responding to and qualifying inbound leads. Metrics of success are measured on a monthly quota of qualified sourced opportunities and closed business, meaning you will have the opportunity to continuously challenge the status quo. Sales Development Representatives are the frontline sales team, and can directly impact the marketing strategy and targeted engagements based on conversations with customers.

What You'll Do

    • Create a great first impression for prospects and customers by providing them with a world-class experience
    • Qualify leads ranging from inbound calls, chats, website downloads, content syndication from third party websites, and webinars across all products in the Salesforce Portfolio (Core Products, Marketing Cloud, Slack, Tableau and Mulesoft)
    • Managing a high volume of inbound leads with a strategy on prioritization of your leads
    • Use the world's #1 CRM to organize lead data and qualification notes
    • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase customer interest in Salesforce.com Products

Qualifications

    • Must be within less than 1-year of having completed a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree from the start date of this role
    • Strong desire to be in technology sales
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Self-Starter, high energy and positive attitude
    • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous internship or full-time corporate sales experience
    • B2B software sales experience is a plus
    • Public sector knowledge
