Designation: Sr/Staff EH&S Engineer
Overview: The Sr/Staff EH&S Engineer will oversee a range of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with national and local EHS laws and regulations. This site-based role reports to the Regional EH&S Lead - South APAC. The primary goal is to establish, implement, and maintain safe working practices within the office premises, while continuously improving occupational health and safety and environmental management practices.

Location: The resource will be based out of Hyderabad and will involve traveling to sites outside Hyderabad as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in EHS related field or PG Diploma in Industrial Safety.
• 7+ years of Environment Health & Safety related work experience.
• Internationally recognized accredited safety professional certification or credential.
• 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr Director level and above).
• 1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
• 1+ year in a leadership role with or without direct reports.

Level of Responsibility:
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Provides supervision to direct reports.
• Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information. May require negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
• Develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards for functional area within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.
• Has a great degree of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is making or directly making key decisions that will have substantial impact over the organization).
• Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
