Job Description

This Business Analysis Specialist role involves gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements for Instant Payments systems. The role requires translating these requirements into user stories and workflows. The specialist will facilitate Agile ceremonies, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide expertise in instant payments, including real-time payments and other schemes, as well as ISO 20022 and SWIFT standards. The position also requires effective communication with Spanish-speaking stakeholders, documentation creation, and support of User Acceptance Testing. Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management are essential.
Must have:
  • Gather and analyze business requirements for Instant Payments systems.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories and workflows.
  • Provide expertise in e2e implementation of Instant Payments.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 20022 and SWIFT messaging standards.
  • Proficient in Spanish (reading and speaking) and fluent in English.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst in financial services or payments.
Good to have:
  • Experience working with Instant Payments systems in Spanish-speaking regions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for payments in Latin America or Spain.
  • Payments certifications (e.g., ACI, SWIFT).

Job Details

Business Analysis

  • Gather document and analyze business requirements for Instant Payments systems
  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories acceptance criteria and workflows
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning backlog refinement and retrospectives
  • Support the Product Owner in prioritizing the backlog based on business value and technical feasibility
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify pain points and propose solutions

 

 Payments Expertise

  • Provide subject matter expertise in e2e implementation of Instant Payments including realtime payments and other payment schemes
  • Analyze payment workflows settlement processes and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of ISO 20022 and SWIFT messaging standards including MT and MX message formats
  • Ensure solutions align with regulatory standards industry best practices and messaging protocols

Bilingual Communication

  • Communicate effectively with Spanishspeaking stakeholders through reading and speaking
  • Facilitate workshops meetings and presentations in Spanish when required
  • Translate business requirements and discussions as needed

Stakeholder Management

  • Work with crossfunctional teams including product managers developers and QA teams
  • Engage with external partners vendors and regulatory bodies in Spanishspeaking regions
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals

Documentation

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation including business requirements process flows and user stories
  • Ensure documentation is clear and accessible for Spanishspeaking stakeholders

Testing and Validation

  • Support User Acceptance Testing UAT by validating that solutions meet business requirements
  • Identify and resolve issues during the testing phase

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Language Skills
  • Proficient in Spanish Reading and Speaking
  • Fluent in English for documentation and communication with Englishspeaking stakeholders
  • Payments Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of Instant Payments Faster Payments systems realtime payments and payment schemes eg SEPA SWIFT ISO 20022
  • Deep understanding of ISO 20022 and SWIFT messaging standards including MT and MX message types
  • Familiarity with payment processing settlement and reconciliation
  • Business Analysis
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services or payments domain
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering process mapping and stakeholder management
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering process mapping and stakeholder management
  • Prior experience in an agile environment creating user stories acceptance criteria process flows to guide Agile development teams familiarity with Agile ceremonies including sprint planning backlog refinement and retrospectives

Technical Skills

Familiarity with payment platforms APIs and e2e integration workflows

Proficiency in tools such as JIRA Confluence and MS Office Suite

  • Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced multilingual environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Instant Payments systems in Spanishspeaking regions
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for payments in Latin America or Spain
  • Payments eg ACI SWIFT
  • Mandatory Certification

Any of the certifications mandated for onboarding in client environment such as Business Analysis certifications eg CBAP CCBA AAC Product Owner certifications
