Job Description

A Senior Engineer will lead engagements, providing value to Optiv + ClearShark's customers. They will lead teams of engineers, manage day-to-day operations, and foster career development. Key responsibilities include analyzing, designing, configuring, and deploying Delinea (Centrify) solutions, ensuring compliance with customer standards, and troubleshooting issues. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills to interact with clients and engineers. The engineer will also be expected to assist with tasking and provide feedback, ensuring the success of projects and team members. The role also includes working with ticketing systems, and assisting with bug fixes and security concerns with the vendor. The engineer is expected to lead the team and assist others in a multitude of tasks.

  • TS/SCI with Full Scope polygraph is required.
  • 8 years of UNIX/LINUX administration experience.
  • Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
  • Knowledge of Identity Access Management principles.

Job Details

A Senior Engineer is an individual who operates independently without direct supervision who is responsible for leading the delivery of an engagement with the sole intent of providing immense value for Optiv + ClearShark’s customers. To be successful in this role, a Senior Engineer will be expected to not only maintain a mastery in a capability aligned with Optiv + ClearShark’s service practices, but also developing pathways towards future opportunities they would like to explore. Additionally, they will be expected not only to execute all tasks provided in a statement of work, but also be expected to lead a team of Associate, Level I, and Level II Engineers in their day-to-day operations and career development. This individual will be the most senior engineer on a project and will be expected to assist Associate, Level I, and Level II Engineers with tasking. Excellent communication skills along with sufficient leadership skills are essential for this role, as these individuals will interact with clients and engineers regularly in a leadership capacity.

How you'll make an impact

  • Analyze, design, modify, configure, integrate, test, validate and deploy Delinea (Centrify) solutions to meet mission requirements.

  • Identify and document the architecturally significant aspects of the system(s), including requirements, design, implementation, and deployment “views” of the system.

  • Support Delinea (Centrify) requests utilizing existing ticketing systems and queues.

  • Ensure compliance with all customer architecture standards, security regulations, and customer approved Delinea (Centrify) architectures for Enterprise IT systems.

  • Work with the government COR and Directory Services organization to ensure Delinea (Centrify) Server Suite best practices are adhered to.

  • Establish and maintain the architectural requirements of the Delinea (Centrify) software solutions.

  • Assist customers troubleshoot Delinea (Centrify) connectivity issues to the domain.

  • Troubleshoot user authentication issues and server domain join issues.

  • Work with Delinea (Centrify) vendor support to submit bug fix request, software functionality issues, and security concerns.

What we're looking for

  • Currently holds a TS/SCI with a Full Scope polygraph.

  • Experience operating in classified environments.

  • Related degrees and/or equivalent experience and 8 years of work experience with UNIX/LINUX administration.

  • Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions. Preferably experience with the Delinea (Centrify) platform.

  • Candidate will be provided training on Delinea solutions.

  • Must have knowledge and understanding of Identity Access Management principles, authentication and authorization, and resource provisioning methods.

  • Experience designing, deploying, integrating, and administrating Identity Software solutions.

  • Experience and working knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Windows Active Directory.

  • Security+ Certification equivalent or higher security certification required.

  • Strong understanding of governance and compliance, specifically with FAR, DFARs, CUI and CMMC.

  • Broad understanding of FedRAMP and IL constructs.

  • Strong understanding of leadership concepts and ideas.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

  • Experience leading an engineering team, preferably having handled tasking, resolving personnel issues, and providing actionable feedback.

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Willingness to travel to meet client needs.

  • Open to government workers and/or government experience.
