What You'll Do

As a User Experience Designer on Fortnite, you'll partner with designers and product managers across the Fortnite ecosystem to enhance key player experiences and drive the platform's continued evolution as a leader in gaming.

In this role, you will

• Significantly contribute to the player experience of Fortnite, starting with when the player first boots into the game
• Work with your lead to develop goals, inform feature releases, and deliver features aligned with the company’s vision
• Partner strongly with stakeholders, diving deep into understanding their respective spaces
• Create presentations, wires, prototypes, and documentation — whatever it takes to clearly convey ideas and expedite quality – and be able to present and pitch designs to design, product management, and engineering leadership
• Work alongside engineers, artists, and UX researchers to develop features and gather inputs to ensure we’re building the right thing for the right cohorts

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of real-world product design experience
• Passion about continuous learning, actively seeking insights from colleagues
• Clearly articulates design rationale, fostering stakeholder alignment and understanding
• Proven success contributing to impactful features that improve user satisfaction
• Mastery of the design lifecycle, from discovery to development
• Creates compelling visual narratives to effectively communicate complex design concepts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong cross-functional collaboration
• Strong strategic product mindset and understanding of design's role in achieving business goals
• A passionate, user-centric designer thriving in fast-paced environments, embracing challenges with adaptability, resourcefulness, and innovation
