Job Description

The Senior Backend Engineer in Payments will be responsible for developing payment solutions, creating high-frequency transaction solutions, and ensuring a smooth user experience for customers depositing and withdrawing money. The role involves end-to-end responsibilities from requirements to deployment and maintenance. The engineer will be part of a team that values innovation and focuses on improving bank transaction approval rates.
Must have:
  • 4+ years experience using Java and Spring Boot framework
  • Experience with MySQL and Kafka
  • Familiarity with microservice architecture
  • Love taking ownership of delivered solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Good to have:
  • Experience with Kotlin
  • Experience building applications for the payments industry

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer in our Payments domain. In this domain, we work with all payment transactions to and from the player’s gaming account. Whether it’s card or bank-based, new regulatory requirements, a new payment provider need to be integrated, it’s all handled by Payments!

You will work with a team of developers alongside the Product & Tech domain to focus on developing innovative and high-performing features with cloud technologies in very high throughput transactional systems.

 

You will work within the full chain of development having end-to-end responsibilities from requirements collection to deployment and maintenance of the team's services. The team has great freedom to agree on what to build and follows up with user testing, monitoring not only the service's technical performance but also from a monetary perspective. 

 

 

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

●  Driving the development of our payment solution.

●  Work in an innovative environment, creating challenging solutions with high-frequency transactions.

●  Creating the greatest user experience for our customers depositing money to play and accessing their winnings as smoothly as possible.

●  Build functionality to increase the approval rate of successful bank transactions.

 


OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


ESSENTIAL SKILLS

   Min. 4 years of experience in using Java + Spring Boot framework

   Experience with MySQL and Kafka

    Familiarity with microservice architecture

   Being not only a developer but primarily a software engineer - you love taking ownership of delivered solutions from their design to implementation.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), capable of articulating technical decisions and offering valuable recommendations to the team.

 

NICE TO HAVES

    Experience with Kotlin

   Experience building any applications for the payments industry
