Job Description

The main role of the Chief Accountant is to oversee the accounting operations within the assigned organization. The Chief Accountant ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported in a timely fashion and play an active role in helping to develop and implement the company's overall accounting strategy.

  • Managing the accounting/payroll (including appraisals) for the X entity;
  • Managing and overseeing the entire accounting team and assisting any team member when needed;
  • Assisting other departments with any accounting related cases;
  • Performing and managing the daily accounting and bookkeeping;
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts;
  • Making and approving manual entry reports on a monthly basis;
  • Uploading, updating and adjusting data in Cognos;
  • Processing all related Month Closing/Quarter closing/ Yearly closing tasks;
  • Controlling and planning Payroll Process
  • Cooperating with local Tax authorities in case of tax reviews;
  • Submitting VAT/Income/Property/Profit tax/TP reporting declarations;
  • Making adjustments in accordance with IFRS;
  • Overseeing intra transactions and approving balances;
  • Reviewing and approving bank transactions;
  • Processing accounts netting as needed;
  • Preparing the fixed asset movement table;
  • Approving processed documents;
  • Ensuring that the month is closed properly and closing the period;
  • Cash flow management;
  • Monthly reporting of financials and other statistics according to the X legislation and Group timetable;
  • Acting as a consultant when it comes to any tax issues, processes and similar arising from the local legislation;
  • Managing annual reports;
  • Supporting the year-end audit.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Material and financial (protection of company property and assets):
  • Responsibility for the technical condition of the entrusted equipment
  • Responsibility for the provided assignments, source data, and other documents
  • Obliged to observe and comply with the Occupational Health and Safety rules approved by the company
  • Responsible on protection of company secrets and confidential information
  • Responsibility for the protection of the trade and production secrets
  • Responsible for the results of the employment activity:
  • Responsible for the quality of the work performed
  • Responsible for damages incurred as a result of non-compliance with the deadlines, for the correct functioning of the developed products.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Higher education in the filed Finance, Accounting, Business Administration.
  • ACCA certificate or similar.
  • Professional working proficiency in English both written and verbal;
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficient with other Microsoft Office programs;
  • Excellent knowledge of local tax and accounting legislation and working experience with complex financial systems;
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/Navision;
  • Ability to maintain accuracy while performing the tasks given;
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work in a dynamic environment.
