Job Description

This role is for a Creator & Agency Operations Manager for TikTok Music's SoundOn platform, focusing on empowering music creators and labels. Key responsibilities include onboarding and engaging creators, designing incentive plans, managing influencer relationships, and executing creator marketing campaigns. The role also involves operating and partnering with social media agencies to maximize promotion power and collaborating with product teams for creator network management. Candidates should possess strong data analytical skills and experience in digital marketing or MCNs, with a preference for music promotion and ByteDance ecosystem understanding.
Must have:
  • Onboard new creators to build a world-class content creator network.

  • Improve agency's productivity to maximize SoundOn promotion power.
  • Manage social media agencies and explore benefit-exchange opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product teams to develop product-level solutions to better manage the creator network and identify high-performing creators.

Responsibilities

Artist Services: SoundOn is an all-in-one platform powered by ByteDance, designed to better service music creators through each step of their career — from ByteDance integrated promotion tools to universal music distribution, from diverse monetization opportunities to smart music creation. SoundOn exists to give every music creator & label the power to authentically connect with new audiences and "do music" their way.

  • Creator Growth: Onboard new creators to build up world-class content creator network with quantity and diversity.
  • Creator Engagement: Activate and engage music promotion creators. Design incentive plans to improve creators' activeness on music promotion platforms. Develop and maintain strong relationships with high-performing influencers.
  • Creator Campaign Planning: Design and execute creator marketing plans. Work cross-functionally with A&R, Artist Partnerships and artist management teams to deliver content and influencer strategy for artists and music promotion campaigns, especially on ByteDance; Analyze campaign data to track performance and evaluate campaign ROI.
  • Agency Operation: Onboard and train agencies to run ByteDance creator campaign independently on TCM-alike promotion platform, improve agency's productivity to maximize SoundOn promotion power.
  • Agency partnership: Manage social media agencies and explore benefit-exchange opportunities according to business objectives.
  • Product Strategy: Collaborate with product teams to develop product-level solutions to better manage the creator network and identify high-performing creators.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required. 3-5 years experience in Digital Marketing Tech companies (product operation roles in Preffy/Pearpop/Zebr/Captiv8), Digital Marketing agencies, or MCNs.
  • With experience in operating influencer marketing campaigns on social media platforms (especially ByteDance) is a plus
  • Good understanding of ByteDance content ecosystem, music programming tentpoles, festivals and social media trends are preferred. Operating as a creator on any social media (especially ByteDance) is a plus.
  • Excellent data analytical skills. We hope you have a natural aptitude for translating data into insights and trends and the aptitude to influence new strategies based on these insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills and project management skills.
