Job Description

Zscaler is seeking an experienced Director of Sales Compensation to join their Sales Compensation team, reporting to the Sr. Director. This role involves being the subject matter expert and primary administrator for all aspects of sales compensation, including ownership of the Xactly system and plan implementation. The Director will design, document, and drive the company's compensation plan administration process, focusing on scaling and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include developing collateral, training, and resources to support understanding and adoption of compensation programs, collaborating cross-functionally to administer special programs like SPIFFs, analyzing program effectiveness, and supporting escalations or dispute resolutions. The role also requires providing analytical support and managing monthly variable compensation payouts in coordination with internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Zscaler, a leader in cloud security, is known for its pioneering AI-powered Zero Trust Exchange platform and fosters an inclusive and supportive culture.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or Statistics
  • 10+ years of experience in sales compensation, revenue operations, sales strategy/operations, or finance
  • Hands-on experience with Xactly, including automation and system integration
  • Proven expertise in developing, administering, and communicating sales compensation plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

We’re looking for an experienced Director of Sales Compensation to join our Sales Compensation team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Sales Compensation, you will be responsible for:

  • Serving as the subject matter expert and primary administrator for all aspects of sales compensation, including ownership of the Xactly system and plan implementation
  • Designing, documenting, and driving the company’s compensation plan administration process, with a focus on effective scaling and continuous improvement
  • Developing collateral, training, and resources to support understanding and adoption of compensation programs for leaders and team members
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to administer special programs such as SPIFFs, analyze program effectiveness, and support escalations or dispute resolutions
  • Providing analytical support and managing monthly variable compensation payouts in coordination with internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications): 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or Statistics
  • 10+ years relevant experience in sales compensation, revenue operations, sales strategy/operations, or finance
  • Hands-on experience working with Xactly, including automation and system integration
  • Proven expertise in developing, administering, and communicating sales compensation plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$168,000 - $240,000 USD
