About SimpliSafe

We’re a high-tech home security company that’s passionate about protecting the life you’ve built and our mission of keeping Every Home Secure. And we’ve created a culture here that cares just as deeply about the career you’re building. Ours is a no ego culture of collaboration and innovation where those seeking their next challenge can find big opportunities and make a huge impact on the lives of all those who we protect. We don’t just want you to work here. We want you to grow and thrive here.

We are a team of product managers, designers, strategists, engineers, writers, and researchers based in downtown Boston. Over the past ten years, we’ve quietly transformed home security from an outdated, unfriendly industry to something elegant, thoughtful, and beautifully designed. We put our customers at the center of everything we do. We care deeply about their experience and we constantly try to delight them with innovative products and services that are fairly priced. Our top ratings in the App/Play store are a clear validation of our commitment to customer experience. Plus, CNET, the Wirecutter, and PCMag all named us their Editors’ Choice for home security.

We’re embracing a hybrid work model that enables our teams to split their time between office and home. Hybrid for us means we expect our teams to come together in our state-of-the-art office on two core days, typically Tuesday and Wednesday, to work together in person, and teams can choose where they work for the remainder of the week. We all benefit from flexibility and get to use the best of both worlds to get our work done.

The Job

SimpliSafe’s Ecommerce team is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Manager to drive the evolution and optimization of our Ecommerce website. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the online customer journey, from initial discovery to conversion and beyond. You will lead cross-functional teams, translating business objectives and customer insights into impactful product features and experiences that directly contribute to our growth. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and a deep understanding of Ecommerce best practices, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making. You will be a key leader within our product team, mentoring junior PMs, fostering a culture of innovation, and advocating relentlessly for the customer experience.

  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Lead and inspire dedicated squads of engineers, designers, and analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment to deliver impactful Ecommerce solutions.
  • Drive Experimentation & Optimization: Develop and execute a robust A/B testing roadmap, continuously iterating on user experiences, messaging, and site personalization to significantly improve key performance indicators.
  • Deep Customer & Market Understanding: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customers through qualitative and quantitative research, user interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis. Translate these insights into actionable product requirements and strategies.
  • Requirements & Execution: Research, define, and write detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that effectively capture the vision, business case, and technical considerations for new features and improvements.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize a variety of tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Clarity) to perform data analysis, uncover user insights, track performance, and inform product decisions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Design, CRM, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, and Brand to influence product strategy, ensure alignment, and successfully launch new products and features.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to Associate Product Managers and Product Managers on the team, sharing best practices and contributing to their professional development.
  • Advocate for Quality & Velocity: Increase the velocity of product delivery while maintaining a high bar for quality and user experience.
  • Champion Agile Practices: Lead and actively participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.

What You’ll Need

  • 5-7+ years of experience in product management within the Ecommerce or D2C tech space, with a proven track record of delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Extensive experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to dive deep into data and translate insights into actionable product decisions.
