The Senior Growth Marketing Manager, Google, will lead CookUnity’s Google-led acquisition engine, scaling presence across Search, Performance Max, YouTube, and Display. This role drives paid media growth, focusing on efficient customer acquisition costs (CACs) and accelerating lifetime value (LTV) through Google's evolving tools. The manager will collaborate cross-functionally, ideal for a data-centric professional thriving in high-growth DTC environments.
Must have:
  • Own and execute paid search growth strategy
  • Serve as CookUnity’s in-house Google expert
  • Develop, implement, and optimize full-funnel paid strategies across Google platforms
  • Manage multi-million dollar budgets while improving CAC, ROAS, and LTV
  • Drive incremental customer acquisition efficiently
  • Continuously analyze performance metrics for actionable optimizations
  • Leverage media mix modeling and incrementality testing
  • Conduct audience segmentation and targeting experiments
  • Define a structured A/B testing roadmap for campaigns
  • Partner with Growth Product and CRO teams to develop and test landing pages
  • Explore new automation, AI, and machine learning tools for optimization
  • Act as connective tissue between Google performance data and creative/lifecycle strategies
  • Collaborate with Brand, Product, Tech, and Data Science teams
  • Work with Creative team for data-driven storytelling
  • Partner with CRM team for seamless customer transition and retention
  • Monitor platform updates, policy changes, and new advertising features
  • Bring innovation into paid search approach
  • Report key findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

About the CookUnity Growth Team

The Growth Marketing Team leads the company's efforts to acquire new eaters across a variety of channels. This is more than the ambition of expanding audiences, increasing traffic and conversion rate whilst keeping CAC low. CookUnity has an incredible chef-driven story to tell—and a mind-blowing, must-taste product to introduce to the world. And because of this, the sky's the limit in crafting an alluring proposition and leveraging magnetic content. We have an incredible mission, as a marketing team, to not simply shake up the known Weekly Meal Plans and On-Demand Food Delivery categories, but usher in a new era of the chef-centric marketplace.

The role:

As the Senior Growth Marketing Manager focused on Google, you will be the primary architect of CookUnity’s Google-led acquisition engine. You’ll scale our presence across Google’s entire performance ecosystem—including Search, Performance Max, YouTube, and Display—driving the majority of our paid media growth. Your work will directly fuel CookUnity’s customer acquisition and reactivation goals, with a focus on maintaining efficient CACs and accelerating LTV through Google's ever-evolving toolset

The leader will collaborate closely with the CRM, Performance Creative, Brand, as well as cross-functional teamwork with Product, Tech, and Design teams. Reporting to the Associate Director of Growth Marketing, this role is ideal for someone who has a data-centric mindset, thrives in high-growth, DTC environments, and is excited to build a best-in-class paid search program at the intersection of performance marketing, creative, and product.

Responsibilities:

1. Own and Execute Paid Search Growth Strategy

  • Serve as CookUnity’s in-house Google expert—staying ahead of Google Ads product changes, Performance Max enhancements, AI integrations, and new demand gen formats.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize a full-funnel paid strategy across paid search, display, demand gen, performance max, and YouTube.
  • Evaluate the full capabilities of the Google Ads ecosystem to continuously push the boundaries of our acquisition and retargeting strategies.
  • Manage and scale multi-million dollar budgets while improving customer acquisition costs (CAC), return on ad spend (ROAS), and lifetime value (LTV).
  • Drive incremental customer acquisition while maintaining efficiency, ensuring campaigns are scalable and profitable.

2. Optimize Campaigns, Budgets & Creative to Maximize Growth

  • Continuously analyze performance metrics and translate insights into actionable optimizations.
  • Leverage media mix modeling and incrementality testing to understand channel impact.
  • Conduct audience segmentation and targeting experiments to scale high-LTV cohorts.

3. Build and Execute a Robust Testing Roadmap

  • Define a structured A/B testing roadmap for campaign creative, audience strategies, bidding strategies, ad formats, and other key performance drivers.
  • Partner with Growth Product and CRO teams to develop and test landing pages that improve conversion rates.
  • Explore new automation, AI, and machine learning tools for real-time optimization.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration for Growth

  • Act as the connective tissue between Google performance data and creative, First Impressions, and lifecycle strategies—ensuring that insights from Google Ads inform storytelling, landing page UX, and onboarding flows.
  • Work with Brand, Product, Tech, and Data Science teams to align strategy with the overall growth vision.
  • Collaborate with Creative team to drive data-driven storytelling that resonates with CookUnity’s target customers.
  • Partner with the CRM team to ensure new customers transition seamlessly into the lifecycle journey for retention.

5. Stay Ahead of Industry Trends & Advise Leadership

  • Monitor platform updates, policy changes, and new advertising features.
  • Bring innovation into CookUnity’s paid search approach, identifying emerging trends, betas, and AI-driven tools that can drive efficiencies.
  • Report key findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring CookUnity remains ahead of competitors.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in growth marketing, with an emphasis on paid search within high-growth, subscription-based DTC companies.
  • A Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record and/or proven relevant experience in a performance marketing or highly commercial role.
  • Hands-on experience managing large-scale Google Ads campaigns ($50MM+ annually)
  • Advanced experience with keyword research and writing compelling, keyword-rich title tags, meta descriptions and other copy within brand guidelines and in collaboration with multiple teams for input on high-visibility pages.
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization platforms such as Tableau, Google Analytics, Looker, and/or Mixpanel.
  • Outstanding degree of understanding in a marketing or tech-related subject (e.g. adtech, data science, engineering, economics, marketing, business).
  • Generate solutions from deconstructing problems derived from qualitative (e.g., branding, design, campaign creatives) and quantitative (e.g., performance, attribution, LTV) marketing challenges.
  • Experience in managing large marketing budgets at high growth companies and/or performance marketing agencies.
  • Experience managing direct reports.
  • Bonus: experience with SEO research tools and analytics platforms (Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc.) and/or experience with SQL.

Compensation

All final pay rates will be determined by candidates experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Pay Range for this position

$125,000 - $160,000 USD
