This role requires experience with live, networked multiplayer games and understanding the nuances of testing in a fast-paced environment. The responsibilities also include tracking and reporting on software quality health metrics, test planning, and driving initiatives for continuous improvement.
Must have:
  • 5+ years in QA production/leadership or project management.
  • Shipped at least one online multiplayer title.
  • Experience working with external QA teams.
  • Proficiency in QA and project management tools.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of pre-commit testing, CI/CD workflows, or test automation.
  • Familiarity with tools QA, performance testing, or build stability management.
  • Experience with QA or production on multiplayer games utilizing a client/server model.

Who You Are: 

We are seeking a Senior QA Producer to integrate the QA service across all phases of development for our online multiplayer game. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving the integration of externally-managed QA functions into our development framework. You will act as a key bridge between internal developers and external QA partners, ensuring test efforts are aligned with development priorities, delivered on time, and meet our high quality standards.

As a senior member of the production team, you’ll drive operational clarity, champion player-facing quality, and ensure the entire QA function supports rapid iteration without sacrificing stability. You must bring prior experience shipping live, networked multiplayer games and understand the nuances of testing in a highly connected, rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the studio’s main point of contact for QA as a service - ensuring clear scope, expectations, and accountability.
  • Integrate the QA service into our development framework. Define and drive the execution of engagement touchpoints, rituals, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment through effective communication, problem solving, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.
  • Track and report on software quality health metrics and QA service effectiveness (e.g., test pass rates, blockers, regression rates, invalid, need more info, repro quality, etc.).
  • Drive test planning, scheduling, and coverage using project management methodologies and tools; project prioritization, scope and capacity modeling.
  • Improve stability of daily builds and tools through effective testing planning and execution.
  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement - test execution, bug quality, reporting, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in QA production, QA leadership, or project management in a dynamic game development environment.
  • Shipped at least one online multiplayer title—preferably as part of a live service team.
  • Experience working with external QA teams and managing test pipelines.
  • Proficiency in QA and project management tools and processes (TestRail, JIRA, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Strong communicator and highly organized operator with a player-first mindset.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • You have an abiding love of video games, playing them, talking about them, creating them!

Relevant Experience:

  • Knowledge of pre-commit testing, CI/CD workflows, or test automation.
  • Familiarity with tools QA, performance testing, or build stability management.
  • Experience with QA or production on multiplayer games utilizing a client/server model.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $97,000 and $145,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
