The Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce Integrations role at GoFundMe involves managing Salesforce integrations with Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) and Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). The engineer will drive connectivity between internal systems and external platforms to enable customers to operate efficiently and view all their data in one place. Responsibilities include Salesforce development, experience with Apex Programming Language, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce. They will also be skilled in Salesforce APIs and integrating third-party systems, specifically utilizing the Salesforce REST, SOAP, BULK, Metadata, and Fundraising APIs. The role requires expertise in the Salesforce development lifecycle, best practices, and experience with Salesforce Managed Package Development, Deployment, and Iteration. The ideal candidate possesses strong problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Must have:

Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for our next Sr Software Engineer to join our Integrations team to help manage our industry-leading Salesforce integrations with Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) and Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). This role will play a critical part in driving seamless connectivity between our internal systems and external platforms, enabling our customers to operate efficiently and view all their data in one place.

Candidates considered for this role will be located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. There will be an in-office requirement of 2-3x a week.

The Job

Salesforce Development Experience

  • Technical Experience
    • At least 3-5 years of Salesforce development experience.
    • Strong proficiency in Apex Programming Language (classes and triggers), Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.
    • Experience developing custom user interfaces. (Lightning pages, Aura Components, LWC)
    • Skilled in Salesforce APIs and integrating third-party systems into Salesforce. Specifically utilizing the Salesforce REST, SOAP, BULK, Metadata, and Fundraising APIs.
    • Strong proficiency in packaging low-code automations such as Flows/Templates.
    • Experience developing applications for the full stack of Salesforce Cloud Offerings.
    • Must have experience with: Nonprofit Cloud or NPSP.
  • Development Lifecycle and Managed Package Best Practices
    • Expertise in the Salesforce development lifecycle and adherence to best practices.
    • Experience in Salesforce First and Second Generation Managed Package Development, Deployment, and Iteration.
    • Ability to write and maintain test classes and unit testing, code documentation, and optimize existing code for performance and scalability.
    • Deep understanding of Salesforce Managed Integrations/Package security review requirements.
  • (Ideal) Salesforce Certifications
    • Platform Developer I
    • Platform Developer II
    • Non Profit Cloud Certification

 Soft Skills

  • A proactive attitude toward improving and adhering to integration architecture best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective in communicating with team members and cross-functional departments.

Preferred

  • Backend Development and Integration Experience
    • Proficient in designing and implementing performant, high-volume integrations with Salesforce
    • Experience with ETL patterning for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and bulk data processing techniques
    • Strong knowledge of one of the following languages: Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, and/or Java.

    • Marketing Cloud
