The Technical Pre-sales Engineer will collaborate with the sales team and Data Centre Sales & Channel Manager to achieve revenue goals. Key responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, proposing data center solutions, providing technical expertise on services, delivering presentations, and assisting with documentation. The engineer will act as a trusted advisor to clients, staying updated on industry trends and working with internal teams for seamless solution delivery. Frequent travel may be required for industry events and sales meetings.
Must have:
  • 5+ years in technical sales or sales engineering
  • Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts
  • Proficiency in creating solution architecture diagrams
  • Strong problem-solving skills
Good to have:
  • Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)

Your mission

The Technical Pre-sales Engineer will work closely with the Data Centre Sales & Channel Manager to ensure revenue targets are met. This role bridges the gap between technical expertise and sales execution, ensuring our customers and prospective customers receive the most appropriate solutions tailored to their business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data centre technologies, networking, and cloud solutions, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Frequent travel might be required for industry events, sales meetings, etc.


What you'll do

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and propose data centre solutions that align with their needs.
  • Provide technical expertise and consultation on data centre services, including colocation, cloud computing, networking, security, and managed services.
  • Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to prospective clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of RFPs, RFQs, and technical documentation to support sales opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with clients and understanding their evolving infrastructure challenges.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to effectively position our solutions.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, product management, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
  • Support post-sales engagements by coordinating with implementation teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to deployment.


What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical sales, pre-sales, or sales engineering role, preferably within the data centre or cloud services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, networking, virtualization, storage, and cloud computing solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
  • Experience with colocation, connectivity solutions, and hybrid IT environments.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions.
  • Proficiency in creating solution architecture diagrams, proposals, and technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
