Dexterra Group is seeking an Assistant Account Director for their Xcelerated Talent Program, a high-impact development pathway designed to cultivate future leaders in facilities management. This program offers real-world challenges, mentorship, and tailored training to prepare participants for Account Director roles across Canada. The role involves overseeing onsite custodial services, managing teams, client relationships, budgets, and driving operational excellence. Participants will gain exposure to diverse settings, develop skills in safety, strategic planning, and team supervision, and may be required to relocate across Canada for account director positions. Key responsibilities include leading revenue growth, ensuring profitability, managing and inspiring teams, identifying new business opportunities, overseeing resource planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, ensuring safety compliance, and driving client satisfaction.
Must have:
  • Minimum 2 years of operational experience in Integrated Facilities Management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to influence
  • Results-oriented with focus on operational excellence

WHAT’S THE JOB?

As an Account Director, you’ll lead a dedicated team and oversee onsite custodial services at a key client location. You’ll be the face of Dexterra, responsible for delivering exceptional service, managing budgets, ensuring safety, and driving operational excellence. Building strong client relationships and inspiring diverse teams across the country, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of facilities management—while advancing your career into a leadership position that makes a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead revenue growth and ensure profitability for assigned accounts
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery
  • Manage, mentor, and inspire on-site teams to achieve performance goals
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive account growth
  • Oversee resource planning, scheduling, and workforce optimization
  • Recruit, onboard, and train team members to support operational success
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality assurance protocols
  • Drive client satisfaction and long-term account retention

Qualifications
