Business Intelligence Developer

We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our Merge Mansion game team to take ownership of our Looker development and maintenance. In this role, you will work closely with data analysts, data engineers, and non-analyst stakeholders, including product managers, producers, and other team members across various product areas within the Merge Mansion team. You will enable the game team to make data-driven decisions with ease—through clear, reliable reports, high Looker adoption, scalable solutions, optimized performance, and satisfied stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Being the primary owner of Merge Mansion Looker environment
• Designing, building, and managing the lifecycle of LookML models, looks, and dashboards that provide actionable insights
• Working with analysts and non-analyst stakeholders to define a meaningful set of KPIs that align with business goals
• Training and supporting non-analysts to increase Looker adoption within the Merge Mansion team
• Effectively managing expectations and priorities by identifying, focusing on, and executing the most impactful tasks to drive results
• Collaborating closely with data engineers and analysts

Requirements

• Experience in a data role such as data analyst, data engineer or BI developer preferably using Looker
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into data solutions
• Demonstrated passion and proven ability to create effective data visualizations and dashboards
• SQL proficiency and ability to troubleshoot Looker-generated SQL
• Good understanding of data modeling and best practices for BI development

In addition to these, it would be nice but not mandatory for you to have some of these as well:

• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and working with structured datasets
• Knowledge of dbt
• Previous experience in mobile gaming
