Job Description

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for finding new clients through direct outreach and follow-ups. They will collaborate with the marketing team on lead generation campaigns and aim to boost revenue by selling online advertising, custom content, and editorial solutions. This role involves building relationships with small and medium-sized customers, using consultative selling techniques to address client needs, and creating compelling proposals and contracts. The executive will also negotiate effectively, manage customer objections, and maintain accurate sales information in the Salesforce CRM. Reporting to a manager, they will provide updates on customer pipelines and bookings. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of B2B sales and integrated marketing campaigns.

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English.

  • Salesforce CRM experience.

These are typically not-tobe-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

About Us

At Smartcore, we're leaders in Food & Nutrition Marketing and Media Services. Our digital ecosystem includes online directories, webinar series, and world-renowned trade shows. We have a database of over 400,000 food and nutrition professionals, an in-house content team, and digital marketing expertise.

We're growing our team and looking for a Business Development Executive to join us. You'll work alongside digital marketing specialists, content experts, and industry professionals.

What You'll Do

  • Find new clients through direct outreach and follow-ups
  • Work with our marketing team on lead generation campaigns
  • Boost revenue through online advertising, custom content, and editorial solutions
  • Build relationships with small and medium-sized customers
  • Use consultative selling to meet client needs and overcome challenges
  • Create compelling proposals and contracts
  • Negotiate effectively and handle customer objections
  • Keep our Salesforce CRM up-to-date with accurate pipeline and sales information
  • Report to your manager on customer pipelines and bookings

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in B2B sales, especially with online marketing services
  • Understanding of integrated B2B marketing campaigns
  • Salesforce CRM experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to spot and pursue upselling opportunities
  • Skill in asking probing questions and handling objections
  • Excellent written and verbal English (additional languages are a bonus)
  • Willingness to travel
