Job Description

Nagarro a leading global consulting and digital services firm, seeks a senior business leader to drive our growth in Japan. The incumbent would be bilingual (English, Japanese) with a business management degree from a top university and 18+ years experience across business development, consulting, strategy and building high performing teams.

As we seek aggressive growth in existing and entirely new lines of businesses in the region, we seek candidates with great business acumen, entrepreneurial nature, ability to strategize, create an effective Nagarro brand in the marketplace, including the target market of potential pool of joiners. with width of skills, ability to innovate, think on the feet, drive changes in a fast paced and start-up like environment. with a client first, customer driven and consulting mindset.

Effective in terms of articulating our business plans and the detail as required to potential joiners. to work with central marketing teams to curate the branding and communication tailored for the Japanese market. Can speak on multiple emerging topics at various events and webinars to further our brand and positioning. Who have previously worked in HR or in any of our focus areas like technology, consulting, product or program management. having a global outlook and experience with HR practices in other geographies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a global team of Nagarrians working from Japan.
  • Enhancing the Nagarro brand in Japan through various mechanisms including events.
  • Identifying & structuring branding events enhance our brand locally through various means including speaking at events and webinars, come up with innovative solutions to drive growth, attract talent pool.
  • Work with the central HR teams and ensure alignment with the company goals & principles. implement Nagarro HR strategies, hiring, training & development, brand building, managing employee relations, fostering a positive work environment including building a CARING® culture.
  • Understand business focus, draft and implement suitable & effective strategies for rapid talent growth in the region.
  • Tune strategies to align with local requirements. Work with central teams to oversee recruitment including campus hiring, hiring through portals, vendors, event participation; onboarding, and retention programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Support the strategic relocation of colleagues from compliance, process and cultural alignment Build an effective ecosystem for Japan in the listed areas;
  • Coordinate with central teams, understand current processes and actively work with an entrepreneurial streak and a start-up mindset to roll-out

    • New joiner connect processes
    • Training regimen in collaboration with NagarroU for effective Japanese culture sensitization, assimilation, language skill assessment & enhancements for global teams operating in the Japan market.
    • Drive the skill matrix definition enhancements for newer roles as we build entirely new lines of businesses from Japan.
  • Augmentation of assessment criteria and career tracks for employees on new roles in the newer business areas.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders such as business units, immigration, payroll, legal and other teams.
  • In line to entrepreneurial setup, support administration, asset , global compliance teams in local implementation.
  • Understand HR systems and reports for tracking and measuring HR metrices. Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations, maintaining accurate and secure HR records.
  • Designing compensation and benefits programs aligning with local benchmarking and global policies.
  • Implement training programs in alignment with NagarroU, to enhance employee skills and career development.
