The HR Lead will be responsible for providing strategic HR guidance, overseeing talent acquisition, and managing HR operations. This role involves partnering with leadership, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. The HR Lead will also focus on performance management, employee relations, and Workday administration. Additionally, they will coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and engagement programs, ensuring accurate data and providing support to managers.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in HR or related field
  • 8-12 years of HR experience, preferably in tech
  • Experience with global teams and HR systems (Workday preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Strategic thinker with a people-first approach
Good to have:
  • Prior roles in HRBP capacity within marketing technology or services
  • Exposure to U.S.-based leadership or global matrixed environments

Job Details

We are seeking a proactive and strategic HR Lead to join our growing team in Pune. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced tech environment and is passionate about building high-performing, people-first cultures. You will work closely with cross functional leaders in India and the U.S. to drive people strategies, support performance and engagement, and advise across the full employee lifecycle. While you oversee a small team of recruiters, this role is heavily weighted toward HR Business Partner responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on compliance, manager coaching, and cultural alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Provide strategic oversight to a small team of recruiters
  • Step in for senior-level or business-critical hiring needs
  • Partner with hiring managers to refine role requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on people's strategy and organizational development.
  • Drive change management initiatives and support business transformation.
  • Champion a culture of performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conflict Resolution & Grievance Handling
  • Partner with managers to support goal setting, performance enablement, and career growth
  • Guide and support new managers in navigating performance tools (Workday, templates, documentation)

HR OPS

  • Oversee core HR lifecycle activities (onboarding, offboarding, documentation)
  • Issue appointment letters, check documentation
  • Coordinate with payroll team for new joiner and leaver information
  • Coordinate with managers for successful completion of performance management process
  • Guide new managers about the process and provide support in navigating on Workday
  • Plan and implement engagement programs, wellness initiatives, and team-building activities.
  • Update Workday on real time to keep the data updated
  • Handle Workday day on day-to-day basis
  • Ensure exit formalities are completed on time
  • Conduct structured exit interviews and analyze feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8–12 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a tech, SaaS, or high-growth company
  • Experience working with global teams and HR systems (Workday strongly preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills; strong stakeholder management
  • Strategic thinker with a people-first approach and business acumen.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior roles in HRBP capacity within marketing technology or services
  • Exposure to U.S.-based leadership or global matrixed environments
