This Logistics Coordinator role involves performing various logistics coordination functions, including preparing shipping documents and coordinating with forwarders for timely shipments. Responsibilities include coordinating transportation providers, responding to customer inquiries, reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy, making special shipping arrangements, tracking and fixing shipping errors, preparing export documents, managing distribution and shipment budgets, and developing processes to improve supply chain efficiency. Experience with HTSUS, CFR 19, ocean, airfreight, inland transportation, pricing negotiations with vendors, and IncoTerms 2010 is required.

  • Minimum 2-3 years export experience
  • Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Access)
  • Understand Harmonized Tariff Codes
  • Knowledge of import/export rules
  • Ability to multitask
Good to have:
  • Working knowledge of Kwik-Tag
  • MS Solomon/Dynamics
  • MS Access
  • Familiarity with commercial invoices
  • Packing lists, MTR, COC

Job Title:              Logistics Coordinator
 
Reports To:         Logistics Manager
 
Job Summary:    Performs various logistics coordination functions such as preparing shipping documents and coordinating with forwarders to ensure that orders are shipped in a timely manner.
                                 
Job Requirements:
 
         Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with inside and outside customers.
         Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
         Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
         Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
         Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
         Tracking and fixing shipping errors
         Preparing export documents, invoices, COO, pacing list
         Managing distribution and shipment budgets
         Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
         Experience in working with the HTSUS and CFR 19.
         Experience in working with ocean, airfreight, inland transportation.
         Experience with pricing negotiations with Freight Forwarders, Truckers, and other Vendors.
         Working knowledge and Experience using IncoTerms 2010
 
 
Qualifications:
 
·         Minimum of 2-3 years export, documentation, and ocean/air transportation experience
·         Strong PC Skills including MS Excel, MS Word, MS SharePoint, MS Access.
Ability to understand and interpret Harmonized Tariff Codes, extensive knowledge of import and export rules and regulations as published by the US CBP
·         Ability to multitask in a time sensitive environment
 
What will put you ahead:
 
·         Working Knowledge of systems such as Kwik-Tag, MS Solomon/Dynamics and MS Access
·         Familiarity with product documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, MTR (Material Test Reports), COC (Certificates of Conformance).
 
 
Physical Requirements:
 
Must be able to go up and down stairs. Must be able to communicate effectively.  Must be able to operate a Computer, telephone and other office equipment.  Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties.  Must be able to work overtime as required.
