Job Summary
Job Description
As a Senior Data Analyst I at Mistplay, you will leverage data insights to significantly enhance business performance, driving strategic decisions within the User Acquisition (UA) and Commercial teams. Key responsibilities include developing business intelligence dashboards and weekly reports to inform decision-making, utilizing expertise in attribution models and data pipelines for budget allocation, exploring and testing new UA signals to improve performance metrics, and enhancing the accuracy and timeliness of user lifetime value predictions. You will also lead hypothesis-driven investigations to uncover new UA opportunities and collaborate with the data engineering team to improve data accuracy and availability. The role requires practical knowledge of SQL and Python, and proficiency in modeling techniques like Bayesian (pymc), xgboost, Markov chains, and scipy regression family classifiers.
Must have:
- 3-7 years experience in tech (DTC or adtech preferred)
- SQL and Python proficiency
- Experience with attribution models
- Data-driven decision making
- Proficiency in Bayesian, xgboost, Markov chain modeling
Good to have:
- Master's degree in Data Science/Analytics
- Experience with large user bases

Ce poste joue un rôle crucial dans l'exploitation des données afin d'améliorer de manière significative notre performance commerciale, en utilisant les données pour conduire des décisions stratégiques dans nos équipes d'acquisition d'utilisateurs (AU) et commerciales.
Tes missions chez Mistplay :
Permettre des décisions fondées sur des données : Stimuler les processus décisionnels quotidiens des parties prenantes de l'AU et de l'équipe commerciale en développant des tableaux de bord de veille stratégique et des rapports hebdomadaires.
Exploiter les connaissances : Tirer parti de ton expertise en matière de modèles d'attribution et de pipelines de données pour guider la distribution hebdomadaire des budgets.
Favoriser l'optimisation : Explorer, construire et tester de nouveaux signaux d'attribution qui améliorent les mesures de performance.
Renforcer les prédictions et les décisions à l'épreuve du temps : Améliorer la précision et l'opportunité des prédictions en développant les modèles de valeur vie client (LTV) de l'utilisateur.
Enquêter et innover : Mener des enquêtes basées sur des hypothèses qui identifient de nouvelles opportunités d'AU.
Collaboration : En tant que lien avec les principales parties prenantes des données de l'AU, tu travailleras avec notre équipe d'ingénierie des données afin d'améliorer la précision et la disponibilité des données d'attribution.
Ce que tu apporteras à Mistplay :
Expérience et formation : 3-7 ans d'expérience dans l'industrie technologique (de préférence DTC ou adtech avec une grande base d'utilisateurs) apportant une expertise dans la science des données, l'apprentissage automatique, l'analyse ou les rôles d'intelligence économique.
Un baccalauréat ou une maîtrise en science des données, en apprentissage automatique ou en analyse est un atout.
Compétences : Nous recherchons des talents ayant une connaissance pratique de SQL et de Python. Montre-nous tes prouesses en modélisation en pymc (Bayesian), xgboost, Markov chain, scipy regression family classifiers. N'oubliez pas d'inclure ton lien Github dans ton CV.

This role plays a crucial part in leveraging data insights to significantly enhance our business performance, using insights to drive strategic decisions in our User Acquisition (UA) and Commercial teams.
What you'll do at Mistplay:
Enabling Data-Driven Decisions: Boost the day-to-day decision-making processes of UA and Commercial stakeholders by developing Business Intelligence dashboards and weekly reports.
Unlocking Insights: Leverage your expertise in attribution models and data pipelines to guide the weekly distribution of budgets.
Drive Optimization: Explore, build, and put to test new UA signals that enhance performance metrics.
Bolster Predictions & Future-Proof Decisions: Improve prediction accuracy and timeliness by expanding user lifetime value models.
Investigate & Innovate: Lead hypothesis-driven investigations that identify fresh UA opportunities.
Collaboration: As a link with key UA data stakeholders, work with our data engineering team to enhance the accuracy and availability of attribution data.
What you bring to Mistplay:
Experience & Education: With 3-7 years of experience in the tech industry (preferably DTC or adtech with a large user base) bringing expertise in data science, machine learning, analytics, or business intelligence roles.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Analytics will be advantageous.
Skillset: We're looking for talent with practical knowledge of SQL and Python. Show us your prowess in modeling in pymc (Bayesian), xgboost, Markov chain, scipy regression family classifiers. Don't forget to include your Github link in your resume.
Location: Mistplay follows a hybrid model in Montreal & Toronto where we have offices.
