Job Description
The Software Engineer will design and build high-quality backend services using Java and Kotlin on AWS, architecting scalable solutions with technologies like Temporal, Redis, and distributed databases. The role involves working with identity standards such as ISO 18013/23220, ICAO 9303, and the W3C Digital Credentials API. Collaboration with technical and non-technical teams across Apple is essential, including close work with iOS engineers to prototype, build, and test new features. The engineer will lead the complete development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and release, and participate in on-call rotations.
Must have:
- Design and build backend services with Java and Kotlin on AWS.
- Architect scalable solutions using Temporal, Redis, and databases.
- Work with identity standards like ISO 18013/23220 and ICAO 9303.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams across Apple.
- Work with iOS engineers to build and test new features.
- Drive development lifecycle through design, implementation, testing.
