The Team Lead, Media Operations: Tagging and Automation position is an upper-level operations role focusing on media tagging, conversion action/pixel creation, and publisher automation through scripts. This high-profile role is responsible for creating and maintaining structure for all media teams within a private equity-backed marketing and technology organization. The individual will report to the Assistant Manager, Media Operations and collaborate with onboarding, implementation, and delivery teams to maximize growth. A key objective is to educate the Client Services team on best practices in programmatic and video media outlets. The role requires a strategic, results-driven approach with excellent communication, networking, and sales skills to achieve growth goals and acquire new brands.
Must have:

  • Create systematic approach to media conversion pixel creation
  • Investigate current media tags or pixels for data errors
  • Review, modify, create, and implement Google Scripts for automation
  • Assist media team in documentation organization
  • Create JIRA tickets for media buying teams
  • Stay up-to-date with media platform certifications
  • Lead with a focus on growth and collaboration
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years relevant experience
  • Learn new service/technology solutions and create winning strategies
  • Manage media successfully in growing spend and improving performance
  • Knowledge of marketing, technology, and channel industry trends
  • Report to senior leadership concisely
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Details

The Team Lead, Media Operations: Tagging and Automation position is an upper-level operations position in which the candidate has experience in all media operations areas, specifically in media tagging, conversion action/pixel creation, and publisher automation practices through scripts or any other methodology. This high-profile role has responsibility for creating and maintaining structure for all media teams within this private equity-backed marketing and technology organization.


She/He will report to the Assistant Manager, Media Operations & will work closely with onboarding, implementation, and delivery team stakeholders to maximize growth opportunities. The main objective(s) will be to further the education of the Client Services team on best practices within the programmatic and video media outlets.


This role requires a strategic and results-driven approach, as well as excellent communication, networking, and sales skills. They will apply their relationship skills and marketing acumen to help the company achieve growth goals and acquire prestigious new brands to add to the world-class client roster of Ansira.

What you will do: 

  • Create SOPs for the core processes of this role or build upon and update existing SOPs 

  • Handle implementation of all media tagging, including but not limited to audience tags, footfalling tags, placement tags, etc. 

  • Create a systematic approach to all media conversion pixel creation for every DSP or Ad Publisher and then execute on that approach 

  • Investigate current media tags or pixels with the DS&I team to triage any data errors 

  • Review, Modify, Create, and Implement any Google Scripts (or other platform automation scripts) to increase automation of relevant consistent optimizations 

  • Assist media team in continual documentation organization of all media department processes 

  • Create JIRA tickets for the media buying teams based on media intake from the Media Strategy team 

  • Stay up to date with media platform certifications relevant to position as well as management trainings to prepare for growth of this position 

  • Be a strong leader focused on growth, collaborating across agency departments to ensure proposals meet client needs and are aligned with capabilities to drive revenue 

  • Continue to identify and implement process improvements that align with the ever-changing digital landscape 

Experience/ Background: 

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years relevant experience preferred 

  • Demonstrated aptitude to learn new service and technology solutions and turn these into winning strategies to increase media revenue 

  • Experience in managing media successful in growing spend and improving performance with programmatic and video media channels 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing, technology, and channel industry trends, the buyer needs, and business structure 

  • Able to report to senior leadership in a concise and impactful manner 

  • Strong verbal and written communications, including negotiation skills
