As an Account Manager, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to managing a client's activation programs. Reporting to the Account Director, you'll be based in Mexico City, where your responsibilities will encompass the day-to-day support of the client's FIFA World Cup sponsorship activation and marketing. This includes managing client campaign approvals, establishing tracking processes for sponsorships, coordinating weekly and bi-weekly calls, developing marketing materials, analyzing industry trends, and overseeing ticketing for premium events. You'll collaborate with internal teams, external properties, and agency divisions, and attend client events as needed.
Must have:
  • 4-6 years of account management experience in related fields
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • Ability to manage client and agency relationships daily
  • Experience with on-site event marketing operations
Good to have:
  • Experience with large-scale event and soccer experience
  • Experience working with payment companies, finance or retail banking

The Role and What You'll Do:

160over90 is seeking an Account Manager that will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the day-to-day servicing of a client’s activation programs. The position will report to the Account Director and will be based in Mexico City.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day support of client's FIFA World Cup sponsorship activation and marketing
  • Manage client campaign approval process
  • Establish the tracking process for sponsorship related initiatives including package tracking and marketing services tracking
  • Develop or update sponsorship regional guidelines for partnership properties
  • Coordinate and manage necessary weekly and bi-weekly calls
  • Support the creation and implementation of sponsorship marketing materials for the local market. This will include, but not be limited to, development of creative elements, client marketing presentations, securing approvals from rights-holders, distribution of materials to the client
  • Provide and analyze industry trends, research, competitive analysis, and POVs
  • Ongoing exploration of partnership strategy based on client needs
  • Coordination and management of ticketing process for premium events
  • Support, follow up and track all merchandise requests
  • Support tracking, audit, approval of sponsorship
  • Provide recap reports of activations
  • Collaborate with external properties and internal Agency divisions
  • Attend client events, as necessary

Education And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) required
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of agency or client-based account management experience (specific disciplines could include sponsorship marketing, partnership marketing, event marketing, influencer marketing, or digital marketing)
  • Large-scale event and soccer experience preferred
  • Ability to manage day-to-day relationships with client and agency(s)
  • Experience with on-site event marketing operations and logistics
  • Experience working with internal teams (account/creative) as well as other agency partners
  • Superior client relationship/service skills
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Ability to problem-solve independently and in groups
  • Excellent time management, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to travel ~10% of the time
  • Exceptional in MS Office Suite
  • Experience working with payment companies, finance or retail banking a plus
