This Account Strategist role at Google Customer Solutions focuses on the Alpine market (Switzerland and Austria). Responsibilities include exceeding quarterly business growth goals, building and managing client portfolios of small businesses, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and achieving marketing objectives. The role requires fluent German and English communication, strong consultative sales skills, and a deep understanding of Google Ads and online advertising. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, develop tailored advertising strategies, and maximize their return on investment. Success demands relationship-building, strategic thinking, and the ability to consistently surpass quotas.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Advertising or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluent German and English
  • Google Ads and online advertising knowledge
  • Client relationship management
  • Achieve and exceed quotas
Good to have:
  • Google Digital Workshop Certification
  • Experience in Swiss/Austrian advertising market
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills
  • Stakeholder influence

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing roles.
  • Ability to communicate in German and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Google Digital Workshop or similar.
  • Experience assessing and achieving client success via business techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and engaged promotions.
  • Familiarity with Google Ads and online advertising.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media business context in Switzerland or Austria, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to deliver impact.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and sales pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the best return on their Google Ads investment.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer business experience and achieving marketing objectives.
