Job Description

The Business Development Manager will drive Tactica’s growth by leading new business development efforts. The role involves identifying new opportunities, engaging potential clients, executing the sales process, collaborating with internal teams, and shaping Tactica’s trajectory in the Ag Tech and Digital Health spaces. Responsibilities include sourcing and managing sales opportunities, executing the sales process, conducting discovery calls, translating client needs into project briefs, maintaining relationships, and staying current on industry trends.
Must have:
  • Source, lead, and manage sales opportunities.
  • Execute and refine Tactica’s sales process.
  • Conduct discovery calls and needs assessments.
  • 2+ years in business development or sales.
  • Direct experience with cold calling.
Good to have:
  • Background in Digital Health or Ag Tech.

Location: Hybrid – 623 Corydon Ave, Winnipeg (Typically 3 days on-site, 2 remote — flexible)

We’re looking for a passionate, results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to help drive Tactica’s growth by leading new business development efforts.

This role is critical to our success—it connects the value we create to the organizations that need it most. You’ll identify new opportunities, engage potential clients, and execute our sales process with our professionally trained sales system during onboarding. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, translate business needs into project opportunities, and help shape Tactica’s trajectory in the Ag Tech and Digital Health spaces.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, lead, and manage strategic sales opportunities from initial discovery to close
  • Execute and refine Tactica’s sales process using our Tactica Sales System
  • Conduct discovery calls and needs assessments to understand client challenges
  • Translate client needs into well-scoped project briefs in collaboration with internal teams
  • Maintain and grow relationships with prospects and key stakeholders
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitive offerings
  • Work with leadership to shape strategy and identify growth opportunities

 

Who we’re looking for

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred)

Experience

  • 2+ years in a business development, sales, or client-facing role
  • Direct experience with cold calling (required)
  • Background in Digital Health or Ag Tech (a strong asset)
  • Proven track record uncovering & managing major account sales opportunities
  • Ability to work on-site (3 days per week) as well as remote (2 days per week)
